The conference was organized to evaluate the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year; Preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo, and at the same time deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
Attending the conference were Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Hanh - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union; representatives of leaders of mass organizations and 65 leaders of grassroots trade unions throughout the province.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Luong Xuan Truong - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized the requirements to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of trade union activities.
At the same time, promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, creativity, effectively implement the targets and tasks for 2026 and towards the 97th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
In the first 6 months of the year, trade union levels in Lai Chau province have proactively closely followed targets and tasks, comprehensively deploying all aspects of work. Activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers have been implemented practically and effectively.
Along with that, the patriotic emulation movement attracted a large number of workers, civil servants, and laborers to participate with many valuable initiatives and technical improvements.
Over 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on renovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions in the new situation, trade union levels in the province have had many innovations in terms of content and methods of operation.
From there, improve the effectiveness of propaganda, care, representation and protection of union members' rights; promote digital transformation, develop union members, and continue to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in building the working class and socio-economic development of the province.
At the conference, the presentations and discussions focused on contents such as: Strengthening professional training in inspection and supervision, implementing grassroots democracy regulations; researching and adjusting the level of visit and support for union members in accordance with reality.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Luong Xuan Truong - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation requested trade union levels to focus on effectively implementing key tasks in the last 6 months of the year; organize well activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.
