After reorganizing and organizing the apparatus, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor reduced 26 units compared to the beginning of 2025 (including reducing 5 professional departments and dissolving 33 grassroots trade union units).
Implementing Resolution 60-NQ/TW and the directive document of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation has terminated the activities of 1,621 grassroots trade unions with 49,958 union members receiving 100% of their salaries from the State budget according to regulations.
Currently, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor directly manages 580 grassroots unions, with 39,709 union members (of which 479 are grassroots unions with 24,148 union members belonging to commune and ward unions; 101 grassroots unions, 15,561 union members transferred to the Provincial Federation of Labor Industrial Parks Trade Union Board).
For nearly 80 years, Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union has always promoted the tradition of the working class, especially workers in mountainous areas and ethnic minorities. The work of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers has been carried out increasingly effectively with outstanding activities such as "Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health", "Tet Sum Vay" Program.
Propaganda and education work for union members and workers has been promoted with widespread union communication campaigns. The patriotic emulation movement among workers and civil servants has been promoted, focusing on the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Good at public work, good at housework".
Trade unions at all levels in the province also did a good job of inspection and supervision; participated in Party building, government building and State management with activities of Hunger eradication and poverty reduction, Trade unions joined hands to build new rural areas, prevent and combat COVID-19, overcome natural disasters...
With the motto "Where there are workers, there is a Trade Union organization", trade union activities are gradually being innovated, strongly oriented towards the grassroots, all activities are oriented towards the goal of "For the benefit of union members", creating a good mark in the whole society.
At the First Conference of the Executive Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor, term 2023-2028, held on July 21, Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that members of the Executive Committee, members of the Inspection Committee enhance their roles and responsibilities, continue to contribute opinions, advise and propose to the Executive Committee to direct and organize the successful implementation of a number of tasks in the last months of the year.
Accordingly, continue to focus on directing and implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the new situation". Implementing Directive No. 48 of the Secretariat on leading the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels towards the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.
Continue to promote trade union communication activities.
