Currently, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor manages 70 people (40-person Trade Union Working Committee, 10-person Industrial Park Trade Union Committee and 21 people working at 7 commune and ward trade unions).
Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor - affirmed: The unit continues to advise competent authorities to unify the policy of establishing commune and ward trade unions (in the old Lao Cai province) to ensure consistency and unity in the organizational apparatus.
It is expected to use existing cadres, civil servants, and workers and implement staff streamlining in conjunction with restructuring and improving the quality of the team according to the roadmap, ensuring 5 years of basic staffing according to regulations. The arrangement of the apparatus organization ensures streamlining and efficiency; the agency comes into operation immediately, without leaving gaps in time or interruptions in tasks.

According to statistics, after the merger from July 1, 2025, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor manages 7 commune and ward unions with 513 grassroots unions and 39,188 union members.
Mr. Tao Duc Hai - Chairman of the Au Lau Ward Trade Union - said: The establishment of a trade union organization at the commune and ward levels in the province is an important step to orient trade union activities to the grassroots, overcome the situation of legalization in all activities while improving the ability to gather and mobilize union members and workers.
In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, building an increasingly strong organization, truly a reliable support for union members and workers.
