How much is the price of E10 gasoline?
On July 24, 2025, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group - stock code: PLX) officially adjusted gasoline prices, accordingly the new price as follows:

Accordingly, E10 gasoline price is being sold at 19,490 VND/liter (zone 1) and 19,870 VND/liter (zone 2).
Compared to RON 95-V gasoline, E10 gasoline is priced at 540-560 VND/liter. Compared to RON 95-III gasoline, E10 gasoline has a lower price of 210-220 VND/liter.
Compared to E5 gasoline, E10 gasoline has a price 220 VND/liter higher.
It is expected that from August 1, 2025, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will pilot the business of E10 biofuel (E10 gasoline) at stores in Ho Chi Minh City (before the merger) to assess the market and practical implementation capabilities.
What type of gasoline is E10 gasoline?
In Clause 2, Article 3 of Decision 53/2012/QD-TTg in 2012, the mixture of leadless gasoline and ethanol fuel with a ethanol content of 9% to 10% by volume is called E10 gasoline (also known as E10 biofuel).
Accordingly, biofuel is a mixture of traditional gasoline and bioethanol used for internal combustion gasoline engines such as cars and motorbikes. The main ingredient for biological alcohol production in Vietnam is currently dried cassava.
Biolaxels in biofuel mixtures are used as an oxygen substitute for compounds previously mixed into gasoline such as lead or ete. Biological alcohols are produced from the fermentation of starch, sugar honey and other agricultural waste.
According to domestic and international studies, Ethanol has a high oxygen content, helping to improve the combustion process of fuel mixtures; thereby, E10 gasoline can help reduce carbon monoxide (CO) and hydro hydro hydrocarbon (HC) emissions by up to 20% compared to traditional mineral gasoline. Reduced emissions mean reduced air pollution and greenhouse effects - one of the main causes of global climate change.
