
In the first 6 months of 2025, Phu Tho provincial trade unions at all levels have cared for and supported more than 159,000 union members and workers with a total budget of over VND59 billion, while promoting rights protection, organizational development and promoting the creative emulation movement.
To date, the total number of employees in the province is 140,313, of which the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor directly manages 125,873 employees and coordinates the management of 14,440 people.

In the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province have taken care of 3,721 union members and workers (Union members, Workers) in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year with a total amount of VND 2.047 billion; distributed 1,300 shopping vouchers worth VND 300,000/voucher (total of VND 390 million); organized a "Union Tet Market" with thousands of Union members and Workers participating, enjoying preferential discounts of at least 10%. The superior trade union and the grassroots trade union have cared for and visited more than 159,000 union members with a total amount of over 59 billion VND.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated to visit and give gifts to 500 union members in especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of 570 million VND. During Workers' Month, the whole province presented 253 gifts worth 278.3 million VND; supported the construction of 7 new "Union Shelters" worth 350 million VND, and presented 2 houses to union members in Son La province worth 20 million VND. Trade unions at all levels have supported 9,139 gifts for employees in difficult circumstances, work accidents, and illnesses, with a total amount of VND 4,289.9 million.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has signed two new welfare cooperation agreements, organizing health check-ups for 1,887 employees with a total beneficiary value of more than 500 million VND. There were 19 trade unions negotiating to adjust shift meals by region (reaching 95% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), 143 trade unions organized "Union Meals" for 47,950 people with an additional amount of over 720 million VND.
The work of representing and protecting the rights of employees and employees has been promoted. The Provincial Federation of Labor has directed the collection of opinions from 470,475 employees to contribute to the draft laws. 52 new, amended and supplemented collective labor agreements have been signed with more beneficial contents for employees. The trade union has inspected and supervised the implementation of policies at 298 units; received and transferred 12 petitions, resolving the rights of 15 workers. Notably, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed the timely resolution of the incident involving 300 employees at Baisheng Company, contributing to stabilizing production for the enterprise and ensuring security and order in the area.
occupational safety and health work continues to receive attention. The whole province has 117 grassroots trade unions coordinating to inspect occupational safety and health; 401/478 enterprises established a occupational safety and health network with 4,206 occupational safety and hygiene workers; organized 105 training courses for 14,743 union officials, occupational safety and health workers and employees.
Regarding organizational development, in the first 6 months of the year, the whole province admitted 6,516 new union members, developed 13 grassroots unions of enterprises with 25 or more employees, and dissolved 32 grassroots unions. The number of union members actually increased by 5,153 people (reaching 25.8% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor).
In the emulation movement, the whole province has 2,580 initiatives recognized, with a value of 33 billion VND; 47 initiative products worth 372 million VND. The conference honored outstanding examples of progress and honored 116 outstanding union officials and union members.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Ha Duc Quang - Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor - said: "In the coming time, Phu Tho Provincial Trade Unions at all levels will continue to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the General Confederation, especially in the context of restructuring the apparatus. We will focus on taking more practical care of union members and employees; promoting representation, protecting legitimate rights and improving the effectiveness of union activities in the new situation".
