After merging with Kon Tum, the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor is perfecting the organization, taking care of union members, and improving operational efficiency.
In the new Quang Ngai province, there are currently a total of 419 grassroots trade unions with 85,333 union members/95,362 workers (Quang Ngai: 266 grassroots trade unions with 77,401 union members/86,237 workers; Kon Tum: 154 grassroots trade unions with 7,932 union members/9,171 workers).
Up to now, the Trade Union of Binh Son commune, Cam Thanh ward and Nghia Lo has been established; there is still 1 Kon Tum ward that has not been established (waiting for the consensus of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee).
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Lan - President of the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation, the Trade Union Working Committee has developed a key work program for the last 6 months of 2025. Accordingly, the apparatus, personnel work, and staffing will be arranged after the establishment of commune and ward trade unions; clear tasks will be assigned to the departments after the merger; and area responsibilities will be assigned. Develop operating regulations, functions and tasks of the Trade Union Working Committee.
Stably organize, care for union members' lives and improve operational efficiency. These include: Ensuring the rights of employees, participating in resolving labor disputes, supervising policy implementation and enhancing dialogue at enterprises.
Strengthen propaganda and dissemination of the Party's Directives, Resolutions, and State policies and laws to union members and workers. Focus on promoting the dissemination of Party Congresses at all levels, focusing on raising awareness of cadres, party members and people about the meaning and importance of the congress, while creating unity in ideology and action to successfully organize the congress.
Propaganda work needs to diversify forms and content, ensuring compliance with the orientation of Party committees at all levels, while being associated with important historical events of the locality and the country. Organized activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union on July 28.
Continue to maintain and spread good models and new ways of doing things in caring for the lives of union members and workers. In particular, promoting the quality of collective labor agreements, shift meals and labor legal advice for employees... The Trade Union continues to innovate to improve the quality of activities in the new situation, meeting the expectations and trust of employees.
Implement well the work of developing union members, building a strong union organization; improve the quality of activities of the union staff. Trade unions at all levels need to continue to innovate, promote their representative role, contribute to building a streamlined, professional and modern administrative apparatus, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the country.
