The Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor directly manages 22 commune, ward, and special zone unions and 1,212 grassroots unions in the production and business sector with 110,406 union members.
In the first 6 months of the year, Trade Unions at all levels in Quang Ninh province visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to 68,475 employees, ranging from VND 500,000 to VND 2 million/person, with a total amount of VND 53.685 billion. Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 13,000 Tet gifts to employees, with a total amount of VND 9.057 billion (from the budget of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Federation of Labor and socialized sources...).
The Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor has organized the provincial-level program "Union Tet Market - Tet Sum Vay" in 2025. At the program, Tet gifts were given to 500 workers in difficult circumstances; the "Union Tet Market" was opened with 56 OCOP booths, discount booths from 10 - 30%; 01 free health check-up area for union members and workers participating in the program; distributed 23,400 OCOP product purchase vouchers of the province at preferential prices to workers in difficult circumstances.
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Federation of Labor has organized and coordinated with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Office to organize 2 gift-giving programs, supporting union members and workers with a total amount of 1.09 billion VND. Organize the online program "2025 Trade Union Tet Market": The number of union members in the province supported is 2,570 people, the form and level of support is by shopping voucher, each union member receives 01 shopping voucher with an amount of 500,000 VND.
The direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level have mobilized social support to provide funding to build "Union Shelter" houses for 11 families of workers in difficult circumstances with an amount of 720 million VND, (including building 09 new houses with an amount of 560 million VND; repairing 02 houses with an amount of 60 million VND). Fund for Poor Workers The Provincial Federation of Labor has disbursed loans to 320 workers with a total amount of 8.02 billion VND, reaching 110.7% over the same period.
In the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels introduced 1,012 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission. Some grassroots trade unions have coordinated with the Political Training Center, the Party Committee of the enterprise sector... to organize classes on Party awareness for workers in the enterprise sector.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that he will continue to coordinate the implementation of the Project "arrangement and streamlining of the Vietnam Fatherland Front agencies, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State to the provincial and commune levels" in Quang Ninh province after being approved by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Grasp the employment situation, life, and ideology of employees; strengthen solutions to limit the situation of enterprises having long-term debts, evasion of social insurance payments, and violation of labor laws.
