However, the unit's union members are mostly contract workers from many different localities, and their living conditions are still difficult. The rate of union members having to rent houses accounts for nearly 40%, of which about 20% of workers are in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Quyet said that it is considered a unit that always ensures stable jobs and income for workers, however, the units in the company are all stationed in big cities, with expensive living costs, so life is still difficult.
In that context, grassroots trade unions organize flexible care for union members. The affiliated trade union has demonstrated its role in participating with the authorities at the same level in managing the fields of operation in the agency and unit, from professional activities, production, caring for material and spiritual life, implementing policies, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, said Mr. Quyet.
To ensure the rights of employees, the Trade Union of 19.5 Company advises the unit government to implement and best ensure the policies of employees such as: Strictly implementing the fees and contributions to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; proposing that the government organize annual salary increase consideration according to the term (2025 to organize salary increase consideration for 653 cases of employees to the term; organizing 646 cases of employees and employees who have reached the term to go on leave under the regime, each fee of 2.5 million VND).
Mr. Le Anh Phuong - Deputy Director of 19.5 Company - said that in recent times, the Trade Union of 19.5 Company has been very active and effective through programs to care for workers such as organizing medical examinations, giving gifts, taking care of children's Tet, etc.
In particular, in recent times, the grassroots trade union has accompanied, propagated, and supported overtime workers and increased production hours to serve A80 tasks very effectively and practically, contributing to the overall success of the units political tasks, said Mr. Le Anh Phuong.
