Coming from Tien Phong commune, Me Linh district (Hanoi), Ms. Hoang Thu Ha found a satisfactory job by attending a job fair in Soc Son district.
After graduating from the Chinese Department of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 (Phuc Yen, Vinh Phuc), Ms. Ha spent half a year at home because she could not find a job suitable for her major.
At the end of 2023, attending a trading session organized by the Soc Son Stock Exchange, Ms. Ha was recruited to work at a branch of a Chinese agricultural import-export company, with a starting salary of 11 million VND/month.
"From my house to Soc Son for work is 16km. This route is not as crowded and congested as in the inner city, so I still go there in the morning and come back in the evening," said Ms. Ha.
According to Ms. Ha, many of her friends from the same hometown of Me Linh district, who attended job fairs in neighboring districts such as Soc Son and Dong Anh, also found satisfactory jobs. "More importantly, the job fairs have large recruitment targets and a wide variety of occupations, so I personally think that anyone who attends and is open-minded has a high chance of finding a job," Ms. Ha commented.
