Ms. Le Thi Luyen (52 years old, residing in Ngoc Son village, Ha Son commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province) said that in recent years, not only her family but also many households in the village have had to suffer from weak electricity, causing their lives to be disrupted and facing many difficulties.

“During peak times, household appliances almost stop working, from rice cookers, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines... We don't even dare buy air conditioners, because even if we did, we wouldn't be able to use them,” said Ms. Luyen.

According to Ms. Luyen, because the electricity was too weak to plug in an electric rice cooker, her family had to switch to using a wood stove to cook rice. Some other families who want to plug in an electric rice cooker have to plug it in, usually at 2 to 3 p.m. If they wait until 4 to 5 p.m. to plug in the rice, it won't be cooked.

Sharing the same situation as Mrs. Luyen's family, Mr. Tran Van Gian's family (63 years old, residing in Ngoc Son village, Ha Son commune, Ha Trung district) said that in previous years, the weak electricity situation had occurred, but this year, the situation became more serious.

"At village meetings and commune conferences, we reacted very strongly, but until now the situation has not improved. We pay the electricity bill every month, but in return the electricity is very weak and we cannot use electronic devices," said Mr. Gian.

According to local residents, hundreds of households in Ha Son commune are currently affected by weak electricity, which affects their daily lives. In fact, many household appliances are damaged due to weak electricity and cannot be used for long.

Speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngo - Vice Chairman of Ha Son Commune People's Committee, Ha Trung District, Thanh Hoa Province confirmed that the weak electricity situation in the area is true. There are 3 villages including Ngoc Son, Vinh An and Chi Phuc, the total number of affected households is about 200 households.

“The weak electricity is due to the infrastructure of the power lines, especially the power lines, which were invested in many years ago. Meanwhile, in recent years, the electricity consumption of people has increased a lot, making the power line system insufficient to meet the demand. Faced with this situation, the commune has repeatedly sent documents to the power supply unit, Thanh Hoa Electricity Business Management Joint Stock Company, requesting a solution, but so far, the problem has not been resolved,” Mr. Ngo informed.

According to the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Son commune, the commune will continue to request this company to come up with a solution to ensure electricity supply for the people.
