Actively find jobs for workers in difficult areas
Mr. Le Hai Ly - Director of Dak Lak Province Employment Service Center - said that the unit is coordinating with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ea Sup, Krong Bong, Lak, Buon Don and M' districts. Drak... organizes a conference to propagate, advise, and introduce domestic and labor export jobs.
In each locality, the authorities organize conferences to propagate, advise, and introduce domestic jobs and direct labor export in 3 villages with a large concentration of ethnic minorities who do not have stable jobs.
According to Mr. Ly, the Center's staff focuses on propagandizing and disseminating the Party and State's policies to support workers working abroad for a limited time; Providing domestic and foreign labor market information. On that basis, workers choose suitable jobs. The authorities also guide the content of the application so they can apply for suitable job positions.
In addition, a number of reputable units and businesses licensed to send workers to work abroad also coordinate with the Dak Lak Employment Service Center to introduce jobs and export labor. A special feature of these conferences is that all popular content is translated from Vietnamese into Ede so that people can easily grasp the full information.
Ms. H'Ban Nie (Buon Don district) shared: "My husband works as a construction worker and his salary is not enough to raise 3 small children. I went to study sewing to apply for a job at a business, my desired salary is from 7 to 9 million VND/month."
According to Ms. H'Ban Nie, the fact that the authorities organize job-finding events in the villages and hamlets greatly helps unemployed workers in the locality. Because many people live in remote areas with difficult roads, they are often lazy to go to the authorities to find out about the job market. This activity also helps people save time, travel costs and open up job opportunities, gradually stabilizing their lives.
Focus on training skilled workers
In July 2024, Dak Lak Province Employment Service Center organized a "Job Fair" program and 6 mobile "Job Sessions". There have been 36 units and businesses participating in employment transaction activities with recruitment and enrollment needs of 9,903 people.
According to the leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province, workers in rural areas, especially ethnic minorities, still prefer to work locally, close to home. Therefore, it is very difficult for the authorities to find on-site jobs for workers in this area.
The Party and State have many policies to support workers from poor and near-poor households to work abroad under contracts to cover initial costs. However, workers in these groups have not yet boldly participated. Awareness of vocational education among people, society and businesses has changed, but it has not been profound in choosing occupations, vocational training and employment.
In the coming time, Dak Lak province will focus on training and developing human resources in a specialized way to meet the requirements of the labor market, associated with the orientation and needs of economic development of the province.
In addition, relevant units also increase enrollment in key occupations, occupations transferred from Australia or invested in from foreign capital sources to ensure workers find stable jobs.
