On October 12, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union coordinated with the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group to organize the 4th Creative Labor Festival and the Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Art Performance in the Northern region.
Attending the program were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Vu Thi Giang Huong, Member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Le Tien Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tam, President of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union..., along with union officials and members of the grassroots trade unions of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tam, President of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, said that through each period, the intelligence of textile and garment workers continues to be affirmed with good topics and solutions, effectively contributing to the activities of each unit, increasingly meeting the requirements and tasks of the industry in the process of integration and development.
Creative Labor Festival, art performance with new compositions about the industry, honoring businesses for workers, awarding Nguyen Thi Sen Award to outstanding female workers.
This is an important highlight of the new journey, of the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, the 6th Congress of Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union; at the same time, it is one of the typical emulation activities to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 3rd Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group.
The Creative Labor Movement for the 2023-2024 period of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union has achieved many achievements, contributing to the efforts to overcome difficulties, stabilize production and business of enterprises, and improve employment and life of workers.
There have been 17,377 initiatives and improvements of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union members applied to production, generating a profit of over 270 billion VND. The 1 million initiatives program has 16,306 initiatives and ideas updated, generating a profit of 258 billion VND; bringing the total number of initiatives and ideas of the Textile and Garment Trade Union in the entire program to 18,495, exceeding the target by 7,530, reaching 169% and ranking first in the Emulation Block.
In the first 6 months of 2024, there were 1,071 initiatives and improvements, generating a profit of 14.87 billion VND. Many "innovation trees" were discovered, nurtured and rewarded. From improvements and process rationalization, they have turned into breakthrough solutions, applying technology, automation, reducing labor, responding to market fluctuations, general development requirements of the industry and the world's Green trend. Initiatives are spread and shared effectively throughout the system.
Accompanying the Creative Labor Festival is the Northern Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Performance organized by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union with the participation of many trade unions, officials, union members and workers in the system.
The program is a continuation of the Central and Southern Regional Festival with new songs selected from the Contest "Composing songs about the Vietnamese Textile and Garment Industry" launched by the Industry Union in 2023.
This is an occasion for vibrant and meaningful cultural activities for union members and workers because each song and voice sung carries the breath of productive labor life. From the melody to the lyrics, it is filled with love and pride of generations of workers on the journey to build the culture and mark of Textile and Garment.
The festival is also an opportunity to spread newly composed songs about the Textile industry to a large number of workers and the masses.
At the Closing Ceremony of the Creative Labor Festival and the Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Arts Performance in the Northern Region, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, highly appreciated the spirit of participation of the teams and the creativity of the Textile and Garment Trade Union in maintaining the annual award and organizing the arts performance with the participation of a large number of workers from all over the country...
Also on this occasion, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union organized the awarding ceremony of the Enterprise for Workers 2024 to 12 enterprises and the Nguyen Thi Sen Award 2024 to 10 outstanding female workers in the industry.
