On January 26, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued an official dispatch on the implementation of the Secretariat's Directive on organizing the Binh Ngo Tet in 2026.

In the official dispatch, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that, implementing Directive No. 55-CT/TW dated December 22, 2025 of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on organizing the Binh Ngo Tet in 2026, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that provincial and city labor federations; Central and equivalent industry trade unions, and corporation trade unions directly under the General Confederation deploy a number of key tasks as follows:

Organize activities to care for Tet for union members and workers practically, effectively, safely, and economically, in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 55-CT/TW of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee. Ensure that all officials, union members, and workers are cared for and supported, especially direct production workers, people in difficult circumstances, those who have labor accidents, job losses, reduced income, and do not have the conditions to return home for Tet. Organize visits, encouragement, and Tet greetings to former trade union officials at all levels who have made many contributions; union members and workers working during Tet.

Effectively implement the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers through models such as: Tet Sum vay, Trade Union Tet Market, Bus, Train, Trade Union Flight, Trade Union Warm House, supporting train and bus tickets, Tet gifts for union members and workers. Trade union levels proactively coordinate with employers to ensure benefits, salaries, and Tet bonuses for workers. Grasp the ideological situation, thoughts, and aspirations of union members and workers; the labor relations situation at the grassroots level, especially in places where businesses are still facing difficulties in caring for the lives of union members and workers.

Year-end activities, spring meetings, visits, and Tet greetings must be concise and practical, avoiding formality and wastefulness. Seriously implement regulations not to organize visits and Tet greetings to superiors; strictly prohibit the use of public funds to give Tet gifts to leaders at lower levels in any form.

Strictly implement discipline and order; prevent and combat wastefulness and negativity. Leaders and party members strictly implement regulations on revolutionary ethics standards, things that party members are not allowed to do; responsibility to set an example in implementing a civilized lifestyle, especially regulations on not controlling vehicles when using alcohol and beer; not participating in and encouraging superstitious activities and social evils; not using state budget, vehicles, and public assets against regulations for festival and entertainment activities... Strengthen inspection, supervision, and strictly handle organizations and individuals violating Party regulations and State laws during Tet, especially regarding wastefulness and negativity.

Organize the serious and effective deployment of work, without affecting the quality and progress of implementing the goals and tasks of 2026. Arrange Tet duty officers according to regulations, ensuring smooth work and timely handling of arising situations. Immediately after the Tet holiday, focus on directing and mobilizing union members and workers to return to work fully and on time, creative labor emulation to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress and welcome the election of National Assembly and People's Council Deputies at all levels, term 2026-2031, and complete the targets and tasks for 2026.
