Giving away 1,002 Tet gifts
News from Hai Chau Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on January 26 said: on the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union will provide support for 1,002 Tet gifts, each worth 1 million VND and 1,900 shopping vouchers at the "Trade Union Tet Market" to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union also presented train and bus tickets to 154 cases of union members and relatives participating in the Bus and Trade Union Train to return home for Tet.
The total amount of gifts, shopping vouchers and train and bus tickets worth more than 1.4 billion VND is from the financial resources allocated by the Da Nang City Trade Union.
In addition, 220 union members of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union also received purchase vouchers for the online Trade Union Tet Market organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Previously, at the Conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Chairman of Hai Chau Ward Trade Union said: in 2025, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union implemented many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
In the year, nearly 6,500 workers, civil servants, and laborers were given periodic health check-ups; trade unions of units subsidized union members and laborers in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases, with a total amount of more than 2.7 billion VND.
Hai Chau Ward Trade Union coordinates to organize Union Member Welfare programs with 7 businesses. Union member development and trade union establishment are concerned, with 11 new grassroots trade unions established, and 460 new members developed.
Innovating content and operating methods
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, in the new year 2026, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union focuses on innovating the content and methods of operation; focusing on implementing 3 breakthrough programs in the term.
Organize care for union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases, labor accidents; train and foster grassroots trade union officials to meet the requirements and tasks of the organization in the new term.
Improve the efficiency of organizing campaigns; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws for union members and workers.
Ms. Ho Thi Lan Huong, Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results that Hai Chau Ward Trade Union has achieved in 2025, especially the activities of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers.
Ms. Ho Thi Lan Huong requested that in 2026, Hai Chau Ward Trade Union continue to closely follow the local political tasks, proactively innovate activities, improve the quality of grassroots trade unions, and contribute to building an increasingly strong contingent of workers, civil servants, and laborers.
Mr. Vo Thanh Trung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Chau ward, emphasized the important role of trade union organizations in the political system at the grassroots level.
Mr. Trung requested Hai Chau Ward Trade Union to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, strengthen coordination with the government and mass organizations, and better care for the lives of union members and workers, especially in the context of implementing the two-level local government model and new requirements set out in the coming time.
