New house helps female worker in Quang Binh overcome difficulties

Quang Binh - The Economic Zone Trade Union handed over the "Union Shelter" to disadvantaged worker Vo Thi Hong, helping her stabilize her life.

On February 28, the Quang Binh Economic Zone Trade Union announced that the unit had just held a handover ceremony of the "Union Shelter" house to union member Vo Thi Hong - a worker at Phu Quang Binh Sand Company Limited, a person in especially difficult circumstances.

Ms. Vo Thi Hong (residing in Phu Loc 3 village, Quang Phu commune, Quang Trach district) has been attached to the company since its early days. Her life was difficult when her husband worked far away and lost contact for more than 10 years, she raised her young child alone for all those years in limited economic conditions. She herself is often sick and has a low income.

Understanding her situation, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union proposed support from the Quang Binh Trade Union Social Fund to help her with 20 million VND to repair her house. Thanks to the cooperation of the trade union organization and the enterprise, the house has been renovated spaciously, ensuring better living conditions for the mother and child.

At the handover ceremony, Phu Quang Binh Sand Company Limited also paid special attention to Ms. Hong. Mr. Le Dinh Phuc - Head of the company's Administrative Department - said that Ms. Hong is the first generation of workers in the company, always devoted to work. Therefore, the company and the union always provide the most practical support to encourage her to overcome difficulties.

On this occasion, the company gave her a hot and cold bottle worth 2.7 million VND. Previously, in the year-end Gala program, she was also lucky to receive a refrigerator worth 5 million VND. In addition, the Trade Union of Phu Quang Binh Sand Company Limited provided an additional support of 1.5 million VND to help her buy household items.
