After the serious incident above, the Company also announced a 14-day temporary suspension of production, from January 13 to the end of January 28.
According to information from the grassroots Trade Union, Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Company has 650 employees. During the time the company temporarily suspended production, all workers in the production block stopped working. Supporting blocks and business blocks stopped working or took turns off based on actual work.
Regarding regimes and benefits during the strike, employees working at Dong Thap Lotus Seeds Purchase Station are entitled to a strike salary of 3.7 million VND/person/month. Employees working in the remaining areas are entitled to a strike salary of 5,310,000 VND/person/month. Social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance and other benefits are implemented in accordance with the law and company regulations.
Talking to Lao Dong reporters, a representative of the Trade Union of Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Company said that in addition to paying salaries and implementing social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance policies in accordance with the law, employees will still receive Tet Nguyen Dan 2026 bonuses (depending on the production and business situation each year, at least 1 month's basic salary). "The grassroots trade union is still grasping the ideological situation of union members and employees. Company officials and employees are all people who have been attached to the enterprise for 30-40 years, so their ideologies are basically stable, accompanying the enterprise in this period. The company also notified that employees during the suspension period should still keep in touch with direct managers to be ready to return to work if necessary" - a representative of the grassroots trade union said.
Hai Phong City Labor Federation has also worked with businesses, grassroots trade unions and related parties to grasp production and business plans, and employee arrangement plans of businesses in the coming time to best ensure the rights of employees, especially at the time near the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026.
