Ms. Thuy was born in 1987, has been a worker at Asti Hanoi Electronics Co., Ltd. for 17 years. Currently, Ms. Thuy works in the assembly department, her salary is 8 million VND/month, if she works overtime, it is 11 million VND/month.
Ms. Thuy has 3 children, the eldest son just passed the University of Transport Technology; 2 daughters born twins are in 9th grade this year.

In 2012, Ms. Thuy's husband passed away when she was pregnant with twins for less than 3 months. Less than 2 months later, her father-in-law passed away.
Pain piled upon pain, the young mother must be resilient to continue living and working to take care of her sick mother-in-law, her son is not yet in 1st grade, pregnant with 2 children.
Fortunately, before that, Ms. Thuy and her husband were given a piece of land by her parents-in-law in Quang Minh commune (Hanoi). With the frugality and support of relatives in the family, the Trade Union organization... she built a small house so the 4 mothers and children did not have to live in rented houses. Her siblings in the neighboring commune also regularly visit and support her younger sister and grandchildren.

Ms. Thuy said that she has just provided her son with 15 million VND to pay tuition fees for the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year; prepared 10 million VND to pay for her 2 daughters for early-year expenses such as uniforms, textbooks, insurance...
My eldest son enrolled on August 22nd. I planned to take a job break to take him to school, but he said he would go on his own. Perhaps he doesn't want his mother to take a job break, making it difficult to travel," Ms. Thuy said emotionally.
Currently, Ms. Thuy's son does not rent a house near the school. He takes 2 bus routes, 60km each day both ways, so he has to depart at 5:30 am. In addition to 4 school days a week, he helps his mother instruct his younger siblings to study, helps his mother with housework, and takes care of meals. The 2 daughters also ride bikes to school together. On days when Ms. Thuy has to work overtime, the children consciously take care of meals and take care of the house.
When asked about the 25 million VND to prepare for her children for the opening season, Ms. Thuy said that she both saved up and received a little support from her siblings, and borrowed more, and paid it back gradually when she had her salary.
Fortunately, when she asked to borrow, brothers and friends felt sorry for her, so everyone was willing to help. Even when the children went to tutoring classes, the teachers also felt sorry for the family's situation and reduced their children's tuition fees...
Every beginning of school year, I fall into difficult circumstances but still try to take care of my children properly, determined to go to work to pay off debts gradually; if it's not enough, I borrow, and when I have a salary, I pay back. I just want my children to grow up and become good people to reduce hardship in the future" - Ms. Thuy shared.
Along with the love of family, friends, and colleagues, Ms. Thuy said she also feels warm because every Tet she receives gifts from the Hanoi City Labor Federation.
Although there are still many difficulties, I am still determined to let my children study properly. The children are well-behaved and self-disciplined, so during the recent National Day holiday, I rewarded my children with a trip with their cousins to watch fireworks at Hoan Kiem Lake. The children played happily to excitedly enter the new school year" - Ms. Thuy said.
