In September 2026, the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province had inspection and verification results of a customer's reflection on the purchase of cracklings at Bach Hoa Xanh showing signs of mold.
Previously, through the Khanh Hoa province's feedback information portal, a citizen reflected the purchase of 2 boxes of pork cracklings at Bach Hoa Xanh store on Duong Hien Quyen street, Bac Nha Trang ward, showing signs of mold.
According to reports, on the evening of August 19, this person bought 2 boxes of pork cracklings at the store. After bringing the product home for immediate use, the buyer felt sore throat, nausea and noticed that the product became more and more bitter as he ate it.
This person discovered signs of green mold, so he stopped using it. After that, this person developed a sore throat, abdominal pain and diarrhea many times.
On the evening of August 19, consumers sent complaints to Bach Hoa Xanh, along with product images, requesting inspection and handling.
However, according to the complainant, a satisfactory solution has not yet been received.
In the document responding to citizens, Mr. Tran Quoc Sanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province - said that he had directed the Market Management Sub-Department to inspect, verify, and clarify the reflected information.
According to a report from the market management agency, on the evening of August 19, the store sold the "Top moc chay toi" product manufactured and responsible for by Kodochi Co., Ltd., according to Bach Hoa Xanh Payment Slip.
The product has a production date of May 26, 2026 and a shelf life until August 26, 2026. The product has a full self-declaration dossier "Fired Garlic Fat Pill" of Kodochi Co., Ltd.
By the morning of August 20, the store received customer feedback through Bach Hoa Xanh's customer care system.
Immediately after receiving the complaint, the store representative proactively contacted the customer to clarify the content, there was no refusal or extension of the complaint resolution time by the store.
On August 22, after having the customer's health check results, the conclusion was recorded as: "Acute, unidentified sore throat/acute, unidentified amygdalitis".
The results of this health check did not determine food poisoning or health effects due to the use of the above-mentioned "Garlic Burning Fat Pill" product.
The store then agreed to refund the customer's money for purchasing the "Tốp mỡ cháy tỏi" product and support health check-up costs for customers in order to soon end the incident and not affect the store's business operations.
The customer side then proposed to withdraw all the reflected content.
At the time of verification and verification, Market Management Team No. 1 said that the batch of "Fired Garlic Fat" products according to images provided by the complainant had been sold out.
At the same time, the complainant no longer kept and could not provide 2 boxes of "Fired Garlic Fat" according to the reflected content.
Therefore, functional forces do not have actual products to inspect and determine the condition and quality of the product.
In addition, the complainant also suggested withdrawing the entire content of the complaint.
Therefore, Market Management Team No. 1 has no basis to determine that Bach Hoa Xanh store sells damaged and moldy goods, affecting consumer health.
