On December 22, the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone sent a report to the Department of Home Affairs on the situation of wages, bonuses and labor relations at enterprises in 2025.
According to the report, there are currently 170 enterprises operating in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks of the province, creating jobs for more than 64,000 workers.
For single-member limited liability companies with 100% state capital, enterprises with controlling shares and capital contributions from the State and many private enterprises, the expected Lunar New Year bonus is about 1 million VND/person.
In the foreign-invested enterprise sector, some units also apply similar bonuses; Biomass Fuel Vietnam Co., Ltd. plans to give 1 month's salary to employees, while the remaining enterprises mainly focus resources on Lunar New Year bonuses.
Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone - said that this year, many enterprises have maintained stable production and business, fully implementing policies and regimes for workers. The Tet bonus level is considered suitable for the conditions of each enterprise, but all show concern and sharing with employees.
In addition to industrial parks, many businesses in the province have also developed a plan to reward for the New Year. Some enterprises plan to reward from 500,000 to 3.5 million VND/person, based on the results of year-end and seniority review. Some other units combine New Year's bonuses with cash and gifts, and at the same time plan to give Lunar New Year bonuses over 1 month's salary.
In addition to enterprises, grassroots trade unions also proactively balance funding to take care of workers. Although the support level is not large, it is a timely source of spiritual encouragement in the context of high living costs and a competitive labor market.
According to statistics, Nghe An province currently has more than 350,000 workers. Maintaining bonuses for New Year and Lunar New Year is considered one of the important solutions to retain workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and sustainable labor relations.
