Before the tournament, the organizing committee announced the issuance of 22,000 free tickets/match to residential groups, agencies, and schools according to registration. However, the attraction of the tournament is so great that ticket brokers have many buyers reselling in large quantities with each ticket price ranging from a few hundred thousand to a million VND.
Before the match between Hanoi FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai on the afternoon of December 21, social networking sites had many posts about buying and selling tickets. Ticket prices range from 300,000 VND to 1 million VND depending on the stands.
Posing as someone who wanted to buy tickets, the reporter talked to a phone number on social media. This person said that there are currently 5 tickets, stands A, B are 500 thousand VND, C, D are 300 thousand VND.
"Go to the stadium to do direct transactions. He is standing right at the ticket gate. If you want a large number of tickets, you have to wait," said this person.
When the reporter was present at Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium on the afternoon of December 21, a long line of fans lined up to enter the stadium. At the security checkpoint, many game monkeys appeared in hand with the tickets. These people continuously invited fans who did not have tickets to the stadium.
A ticket brok said: "In the afternoon, I sell 1 million tickets. Now I buy him to sell to 500 thousand in stand A. Since then, many people have come to the stadium without tickets. We would like to buy tickets back from fans who do not want to see them."
When the reporter refused to buy because the price was too high, another man approached to offer a ticket for 100,000 VND. These tickets were torn apart after being seen in the first match. To confirm that the tickets were torn, people can still go to watch the second match, this person even brought the reporter back to the ticket checking area to confirm.
"Many people come to the stadium to watch and then go out, so the torn tickets are still available. This type of ticket is the cheapest, with 100,000 VND. Many people who arrived early had to buy tickets for a few hundred thousand to a million VND," this person said.
According to the reporter's records, ticket brokers appeared everywhere right in front of Thai Nguyen Stadium. Not only offering to buy tickets, these people also ask and buy tickets from fans who do not want to see and then resell them for profit. From free, tickets to watch the Four Great Football Tournament are sold for hundreds of thousands of VND.
A fan said: "The attraction is huge when for the first time, famous Thai Nguyen football clubs have played, the spacious stadium has just been inaugurated. Tickets are distributed free of charge to organizations and residential groups and then sent to people, so many fans cannot own them.
Now that tickets are being sold everywhere, many fans who want to enter the stadium have to buy them from street vendors".
Previously, the authorities of Thai Nguyen province announced that the Organizing Committee of the Four Powerhouses Football Tournament would issue free tickets to departments, branches, agencies, units and schools according to registration.
The organizers do not sell tickets in any form. People should be vigilant against unofficial ticket sales and exchanges to avoid being scammed.
The Four Heroes - Thai Nguyen football tournament includes 6 matches taking place on December 21, 24, and 27.
On December 21, there will be 2 matches between Hanoi FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai; PVF People's Public Security and The Cong Viettel.
