Attending were Mr. Le Tien Truong - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group; Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of Labor Relations Department of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and leaders of the Group, leaders of Vietnam Textile and Garment Association and 139 typical examples.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, emulation movements in the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union system achieved many positive and outstanding results. A typical example is the Program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties and be creative" with the result that union members and workers in the Vietnam Textile and Garment industry have 18,495 initiatives, reaching 169% of the target, leading the emulation bloc of trade unions of corporations and general companies. In this movement, 3 collectives and 2 individuals were commended by the General Confederation of Labor and 23 collectives and 12 individuals were commended by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union...

Since 2019, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union has conducted the selection and honoring of "Enterprises for Workers" at the industry level. This is a program specifically developed for employers to promote and enhance the role and responsibility of enterprises.
The program is maintained annually based on the following criteria: Effective production and business enterprises, compliance with legal regulations, job security, income increase, care for the material and spiritual life of workers, ensure occupational safety and health, build harmonious, stable and progressive relationships and specific criteria such as having a regime specifically for female workers, a synchronous grassroots institutional system, and good implementation of social responsibility with workers and the community.
As a result, from 2019 to 2024, 81 enterprises were honored and rewarded for "Enterprises for Workers" at the industry level. Of which, 29 enterprises have achieved the title of "Enterprise for Workers" at the national level. This is the motivation for employers to maintain and apply policies and regimes higher than the law and bring more benefits to employees.
Entering the 2025-2030 period, the Vietnamese textile and garment industry and the Trade Union organization face many opportunities, but also face many challenges. The Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union has identified the direction and tasks of the patriotic emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period with the general goal of: Promoting the spirit of initiative and creativity; continuing to innovate the content and methods of organizing emulation movements associated with improving production and business efficiency; improving the material and spiritual life of workers; building a textile and garment culture; fostering a team of qualified, disciplined workers and high adaptability; affirming the position of the industry and trade union organizations in the new period.
During this period, movements will be widely launched in the spirit of Directive 41-CT/TW (2024) on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work and Conclusion 01-KL/TW (2021) on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Raising awareness of cadres, union members, employees and employers about the meaning and role of emulation work in business development, improving employee income, and enhancing professional status. Strengthen coordination between the Trade Union and enterprises in creating an emulation environment and appropriate incentive and motivation mechanisms.
Some specific goals for the 2025 - 2030 period include:
- 95% or more of units launch and organize annual emulation movements.
- The number of effective initiatives and improvements to technology processes increased by an average of 10%/year.
- Each good worker has at least 2 stages, master many stages.
- Average income of employees increases by at least 5%/year.
- On average, each year, 80% of employees in the administrative and career sector and 70% of employees in production and business units achieve the title of good worker, advanced worker, and emulation fighter.
