Moved when receiving "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" from Mr. Mai Le Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Ms. Vo Tran Nhat Linh - Tan Thuan Port - Saigon Port emotionally said: "What makes me feel warm is not only the gift but also the very sincere and close concern and encouragement from the Trade Union levels. In difficult times, that sharing gives me more motivation to try to overcome and continue striving.
According to the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Ms. Vo Tran Nhat Linh (born in 1986), started working at Tan Thuan Port - Saigon Port in 2008. In October 2025, she went for examination and was diagnosed with breast cancer. Port leaders have created conditions for her to work office hours, having time to go for treatment instead of working shifts as before. Regarding family circumstances, Ms. Linh has been divorced for 10 years, and is raising 2 children (1 child in 9th grade, 1 child in 8th grade), with the support of her father and 2 children. Currently, all 3 mothers and children of Ms. Linh are staying at their elderly biological father's house...
Directly going to give gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, Mr. Mai Le Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines - shared: "Gifts from the Trade Union organization may not carry heavy material value but contain the feelings, responsibility and concern of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers. We hope that this will be a practical source of encouragement for brothers and sisters to have more faith and will to rise up in life.
In the Trade Union system of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, there are 49 union members and employees who received "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress".
No serious labor accidents occurred
According to the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, in the first 6 months of the year, 52 enterprises organized employee conferences and dialogues at workplaces; 9 units amended and supplemented collective labor agreements. Many contents directly related to employment, wages, bonuses, working conditions, and welfare for employees were brought up for public and frank exchange and resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
Occupational safety and health (OSH) work continues to be implemented by trade union levels in coordination with professional departments. 100% of units have activities to respond to the Action Month on OSH in 2026. The highlight is the online contest "Learning about OSH work among workers" organized by the Corporation's Trade Union from May 11 to May 26 with nearly 4,000 union members and workers participating in the contest. The Corporation's Trade Union organized awards for 11 collectives and 28 individuals who won prizes in the Contest with a total amount of 64 million VND.
With the active involvement of the trade union, the entire system of Vietnam National Shipping Lines did not have serious labor accidents or fatal labor accidents.
Trade union levels of Vietnam National Shipping Lines have organized many activities to care for union members and workers. In the first 6 months of 2026, the entire system has supported and visited 1,026 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total budget of 1.6 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of 6 Trade Union Warm Houses with a total amount of 285 million VND.
