Recently, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation brought gifts from the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program to union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases in difficult circumstances at businesses and units in the province.
At the grassroots trade unions visited, Mr. Do Tran Thinh, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, visited, encouraged and presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances due to serious illnesses and occupational diseases. Mr. Thinh shared that these are gifts supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor through the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program. Each gift, although not of great material value, is the feeling, concern and responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Doan Thi Du - a member of the grassroots trade union of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. - sent her thanks to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and trade union organizations at all levels for always caring and accompanying union members in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Du said that her family has 4 members, and her life mainly depends on income from her worker's salary. As the main breadwinner in the family, while she herself unfortunately suffers from a serious illness, life is even more difficult due to treatment costs and daily living expenses.
In the most difficult times, I always receive the concern and encouragement of the Trade Union organization. Today's gift partly helps alleviate difficulties, more importantly, this is a great source of spiritual encouragement for me to continue to try to treat my illness, take care of my family and overcome difficulties," Ms. Du shared.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy - a member of the grassroots Trade Union of TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company - said: for her, this gift is of special significance because she feels the sharing and companionship of the Trade Union organization with workers when they encounter difficulties.
Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh wished union members to continue to maintain an optimistic spirit, actively treat illnesses, overcome difficulties in life, feel secure in their work and continue to accompany businesses. At the same time, promote the spirit of creative labor, actively emulation in labor production, contributing to improving labor productivity and operational efficiency of units and businesses; thereby creating stable jobs and increasing income for workers.
Mr. Nguyen Son Luan - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company - expressed his gratitude to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for implementing the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program, bringing meaningful gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. According to Mr. Luan, the timely attention and support from the Trade Union organization not only helps union members alleviate difficulties in life but also adds motivation for them to overcome illness, stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work. In the coming time, the grassroots Trade Union will continue to coordinate with the Company's Board of Directors to effectively implement activities to care for and support union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

The program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" has supported union members in An Giang with 237 gifts worth 357 million VND, including 80 gifts for people with critical illnesses, occupational diseases, and occupational accidents with a level of 2 million VND in cash and in kind worth 500,000 VND/person; and 157 gifts for people with critical illnesses and occupational accidents with a level of 1 million VND/person.
The gifts given directly to union members not only carry material value but also contribute to spreading the spirit of sharing, affirming the companionship of the Trade Union organization with workers, especially those who are facing difficulties in health and life.
