State-owned farm in those days
Every year, on the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19), the collective leadership, officials, and workers of Dong Giao Farm (now Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company) come together to the Uncle Ho's statue to offer flowers and incense to express their respect and gratitude to the beloved leader of the Vietnamese nation.
In the 70-year journey of formation and development, Dong Giao, from a state-owned farm in countless difficulties, has constantly risen, becoming a leading high-tech agricultural enterprise associated with processing and exporting agricultural products of Vietnam.
To achieve that success, many generations of officials and workers of Dong Giao farm have always deeply engraved the words of Uncle Ho's advice when visiting this place exactly 66 years ago.

Recalling the history of the farm, Mr. Dinh Cao Khue - Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company - shared that Dong Giao state-owned farm was born and grew up associated with revolutionary history and national construction, and is the center of North-South solidarity.
A unique feature that nowhere else is found in this state-owned farm is the "double" model in the early stages of Dong Giao: Both producing and managing the local government" - Mr. Khue shared.
With that model, Dong Giao not only develops production but also directly invests, manages, and operates social activities. This is a self-reliant and model "integrated socio-economic" model, laying the foundation for the urban development of Tam Diep, Ninh Binh province later.
Dong Giao imprints Uncle Ho's footprints
Dong Giao in the early years after its establishment was still facing many difficulties and losses. Knowing the actual situation of the farm, on the morning of July 20, 1960, on the way from Sam Son (Thanh Hoa) to Hanoi, Uncle Ho visited and instructed leaders, officials, and workers at Dong Giao farm.
Mr. Dinh Cao Khue quoted Uncle Ho's advice: "You must actively produce, choose crops and livestock suitable to natural conditions, to improve productivity, worthy of being a model of the socialist state-owned agricultural economy.
Uncle Ho's advice at that time became an important historical milestone that changed and strongly developed the farm in the following years and to this day.
According to Mr. Khue, this is the source of nurturing will, encouraging each step of the unit on the journey to build a modern and internationally integrated agriculture.
Coming to Dong Giao in those days, in addition to instructing and directing leaders and farm officials, Uncle Ho also personally held hoes to plow grass at the Trai Vong Production Team; caressed the young children of the animal husbandry team's kindergarten; cared about the accommodation of workers in the collective housing area...

At the places he visited, Uncle Ho kindly instructed the officials and workers of the farm to constantly rise up.
You and the farm workers try to work really well to build Dong Giao into a rich farm, produce a lot of export products for the State, and improve the lives of workers and officials, Uncle is happy" - Uncle's advice.
Uncle Ho's advice is not only clearly recorded in the golden notebook of Dong Giao farm but also deeply engraved in the hearts of generations of leaders, officials, and workers of Dong Giao to this day.
