To celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), on the evening of May 19, 2026, at Au Co Art Center (Hanoi), Van Hoa Newspaper in coordination with relevant units will organize a special art program called "Shining Forever His Name".
The program is pleased to have the companionship of Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam), Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation Limited (PVEP) and Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation (PTSC). The program is broadcast live on VTV2 channel - Vietnam Television.
With a projected duration of 80 minutes, "Sáng mãi tên Người" is staged as a flow of emotions throughout from the past to the present, recreating the great revolutionary journey of President Ho Chi Minh, while affirming the enduring value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in today's era.
Not just a simple art program, "Sáng mãi tên Người" also carries political, cultural and ideological depth, contributing to propagating and educating patriotic traditions, arousing the spirit of responsibility and aspiration to contribute of all strata of people, especially the young generation.
According to the expected script, the opening of the program is the special staging highlight "Journey of Light". In the stage space immersed in darkness, the sound of sea waves, wind and footsteps echoed. A small child holding an oil lamp appeared as a symbol of the ideal light leading the way. From there, the stage space gradually opened with modern mapping projection technology, recreating historical milestones associated with Uncle Ho's life and career.
Right after the opening part was a mashup of "Who loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh more than teenagers and children" and "Uncle Ho, a boundless love". The performance was expected to create an emotional, close and sacred atmosphere in the art night.
The program is designed into three distinct parts
Part I - "Nguoi di tim hinh cua nuoc" recreates the journey to find a way to save the country of young Nguyen Tat Thanh. Emotional songs such as "Tu lang Sen", "Dem nghe hat do dua nho Bac", "Dau chan tien truoc", "Khat vong", "Duong chung ta di" will lead the audience through the space of Nghe land, the sacred motherly love and burning aspiration to save the country.
The highlight of this part is the staged scene of the image of Nguyen Tat Thanh before leaving Nha Rong Wharf - a historical moment that marks the beginning of the nation's journey to find a way to save the country.
Part II - "Light Leading the Way" focuses on depicting Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, style and the revolutionary path that our Party and People have chosen. The program space will be followed by a mashup of "Party Flag" and "Party is My Life", a documentary "Party Flag in Blood in Prison" and an exchange with former Phu Quoc prisoner Nguyen The Nghia.
The performances "Uncle Ho's words before leaving", "Ho Chi Minh song" and the report "Ho Chi Minh - endless source of inspiration" will continue to create emotional depth, spread the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.
Closing the program is Part III - "Vietnam records his words", bringing a fresh, modern and aspirational spirit for national development. The performances "What's More Beautiful", "Love Vietnamese Smiles", "Prosperity of Vietnam Shines", "The Country Rises" combined with beautiful images of Vietnam will convey the message of a Vietnam integrating, developing and continuing to firmly step on the path chosen by Uncle Ho.
The art night is expected to have the participation of many artists loved by the public such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Anh Tho, Quang Ha, Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Hoang Bach, Thu Hang, Thien Thanh Group, Tinh Tu Group, Sao Tuoi Tho Club, Duong Duc Hai, Vietnam National Academy of Music Choir and Selena Dance Troupe.
Forever Shining His Name" promises to be an emotional artistic highlight on the occasion of the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday this year, contributing to spreading the good and sustainable values of Ho Chi Minh's thought in today's life.
