On the afternoon of May 19, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a conference to summarize 5 years of implementing Conclusion 01-KL/TW of the Politburo and commend advanced examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Trinh Van Quyet - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that President Ho Chi Minh was great, a national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural figure, who left for the Party, for our people and our nation an invaluable spiritual legacy - that is Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. His life and career will forever be a noble symbol of patriotism, of national independence, associated with socialism, and of the aspiration to dedicate his whole life to the Fatherland and the people.
Studying and following Uncle Ho is not only a political responsibility, but an inherent need of each cadre, Party member and the masses. Not only learning what Uncle Ho said, but more importantly, doing what Uncle Ho taught, turning his thoughts into specific revolutionary actions, in labor, in work and in daily life" - Mr. Trinh Van Quyet emphasized.
According to the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, after nearly a century of accompanying the nation, the Vietnamese working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization have truly been the pioneering force of the revolution, the reliable support of the Party, and a solid bridge between the Party and workers. Deeply grasping Conclusion No. 01 of the Politburo over the past 5 years, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and trade union levels have synchronously, methodically, creatively intervened and achieved very proud results.
From emulation movements, tens of thousands of typical examples have emerged, 131 outstanding collectives and individuals have been commended today, are the most beautiful flowers in the flower garden of studying and following Uncle Ho, vividly demonstrating the simple but profound truth, the great things always begin from simple, practical and responsible actions" - Mr. Trinh Van Quyet shared.
5 key tasks
The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission requested Trade Union levels to focus on performing well some key tasks below.
First, continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively organize the implementation of Conclusion No. 01, associated with the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, especially the Resolutions on developing Vietnamese culture and people, on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. It is necessary to strongly shift from learning to following, from following to setting an example, from setting an example to spreading good values in society. Learning from Uncle Ho is not by slogans, but by specific actions, by practical effectiveness and the trust of workers.
Second, promote propaganda and political and ideological education for workers and laborers, in the spirit of Directive No. 58 of the Politburo, improve political bravery, class consciousness, patriotism, national pride, resolutely fight against distorted and divisive arguments of the Party and the working class and working people. Consolidate the trust of workers and laborers in the Party, State and our socialist regime.
Third, associate studying and following Uncle Ho with building a modern and strong Vietnamese working class, meeting the development requirements of the country in the digital age. Workers in the new period must have firm political bravery, knowledge, high professional skills, modern industrial style, innovation capacity, master digital technology and artificial intelligence, and truly be a pioneer force in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
Fourth, continue to discover and replicate good models and creative ways of doing things, promptly commend and reward good people and good deeds, in the spirit of taking beauty, eliminating ugliness, and using positivity to push back negativity. Each trade union official must regularly self-examine, self-correct, self-cultivate, be truly close to workers, understand workers, and protect workers with responsibility and specific actions.
Fifth, build a truly typical team of trade union officials in terms of qualities, capacity and prestige. Trade union officials must be dedicated, have bravery and skills to mobilize the masses, dare to think, dare to do, dare to face difficulties and challenges, dare to take responsibility for the common good. Where workers are in difficulty, there must be trade union officials, where the rights of workers are affected, where trade union organizations must speak out and act.
Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam has repeatedly emphasized that the people are the center, the subject, the goal and the driving force of the development cause. Therefore, all activities of the trade union must strongly focus on the grassroots level, taking union members and workers as the center to serve, strongly shifting from formal movements to practical efficiency, from administrativeization to companionship and sharing of creation" - Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission emphasized.
