Currently, the total number of female workers in the entire Vietnamese Agriculture and Environment sector is 19,800 people, accounting for 39.1%.
Female workers participate in the fields of occupation, rural areas, mountainous areas, remote areas, farms, forestry, border areas, and islands. Female workers with university and graduate degrees account for about 20%. Female workers participating in leadership and management positions from team leaders, heads, deputy heads of departments, faculties, departments and equivalent or higher account for 23%. The rate of women participating in the Executive Board of trade unions at all levels reached 40.6%. 100% of units have a Mass Women's Union or assign one person in the Executive Committee in charge of women's work.
The emulation movement of Good at public work, Good at housework in the period of 2020-2025 has been effectively implemented by trade unions at all levels, along with emulation movements such as Good at work, Creative work, Women actively studying, creative work, building happy families, Building Vietnamese women in the new era has actively contributed to building strong agencies, units and trade union organizations.
With a gender-specific movement such as Good at public work, Good at housework and being supported and implemented by trade unions at all levels, many female workers, regardless of their field, have achieved high results.
For example, in the field of direct production, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, a member of the Trade Union of Coffee Company 706, advised to include in the unit's Collective Labor Agreement many provisions that are more beneficial to female workers; have an initiative to recycle processed coffee by-products, contributing to reducing production costs, creating jobs, and increasing income for workers.
In the field of scientific research, state management and transfer of scientific advances to production, the Women's Union of the Agricultural General Hospital participated in performing many surgeries requiring high technical qualifications, annually implementing over 20 topics/ initiatives/technical improvements. Including 32 grassroots scientific works and 01 Hanoi City-level initiatives, contributing to the overall achievements of the Hospital for 5 consecutive years of excellent completion of tasks, being a pioneer in digital transformation of the health sector...
Appreciating the efforts of the female workforce, the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union awarded the thematic Emulation Flag to 7 collectives and Certificates of Merit to 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for Good at public work, Good at housework in the period of 2020 - 2025.
