Dong Nai has many exemplary workers
On the afternoon of July 30, the inspection team of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Central Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council - worked with Dong Nai province.
Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province Nguyen Huu Dinh said that the work of propaganda, introduction, and honoring of advanced examples, new models, and good practices has been directed to be promoted. Many agencies, units, and localities have introduced exemplary collectives and individuals who directly work and need to be honored and replicated.
For example, Mr. Tran Thanh Ngan - Worker of Precision Joint Stock Company (Trang Bom district) had the initiative of "rotating shaft change each time the welding robot finishes" which contributed to increasing productivity, reducing the need for workers to move around during work, maximizing the operational intensity of machinery, allowing one person to work with two robots, and reducing labor costs for the company. The initiative resulted in benefits worth about 200 million VND per year for the company.
Ms. Ngo Thi Hong, a worker at An Loc Rubber Plantation (Long Khanh City), had the initiative to implement a plastic rain cover to prevent rainwater from dripping into the cups and damaging the rubber latex... contributing to annual benefits worth tens of millions of VND for the plantation.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y - Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Confederation of Labor said that the coordination of commendation work in Dong Nai province has been meticulously and promptly implemented, focusing on workers. The emulation movements launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have been well executed in Dong Nai, with annual summaries and commendations from the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for union officials and direct production workers.
Emulation movements need to have focus and key points
Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang acknowledged, praised, and congratulated the achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of Dong Nai and the province's emulation and commendation activities in recent years.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang requested Dong Nai province to urge all levels and sectors to deeply imbibe the spirit of patriotic emulation, strengthen leadership and effectively implement state policies on emulation. Encourage the spirit of daring to think and act.
Prepare well for the provincial-level patriotic emulation congress towards the 11th national patriotic emulation congress, with thorough preparation of reports being very important, proposing specific solutions to innovate emulation and commendation work in the coming time, ensuring practicality, focusing on the grassroots level, emphasizing the responsibility of the leaders, and preventing negativity in emulation and commendation work.
Focus on good commendation work for workers, farmers, direct production workers, and small collectives that need to continue to be promoted, especially scientists who need to be highly regarded, individuals innovating in digital transformation, technology transformation... Social welfare work also needs to be honored...
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that emulation movements need to have focus and key points. Recently, the Prime Minister launched key programs on specific projects, especially Dong Nai has many state-level projects, national key projects under construction, and suggested that Dong Nai coordinate to launch emulation movements for national key projects to create a lively emulation atmosphere on the construction site.
Earlier, on the morning of July 30, the Emulation Cluster of the Southeastern provinces held a preliminary conference to review the implementation of the emulation covenant for the first 6 months of 2024. The preliminary report on the implementation of the emulation covenant showed that in the first 6 months of 2024, the economic growth rate in the cluster averaged 7.57%, the export market recovered and grew quite well, and domestic and foreign investment attraction in the provinces in the cluster showed many positive signs. Budget revenue in many provinces reached over 50% of the year's plan.
