Faith comes from small things
On the occasion of Tet, Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, aiming to practically care for and support the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, ensuring that everyone has a Tet. The special thing is that near the end of the program, although the weather was somewhat unfavorable, Dong Thap laborers still had bright smiles on their faces, united, and accompanied the Union to successfully organize the activity.
Sharing with us, Mr. Phan Minh Tri (Worker of SOLETECH Co., Ltd., Dong Thap) expressed: "The Union organizers have devoted themselves to implementing the program to bring us meaningful gifts, and also organized cultural performances for us to exchange and relax. That is why I am more attached, trust, and sit until the end of the program with an excited spirit."
The program of Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation was successful with more than 650 gifts given to union members and workers, totaling over 428 million VND.
In addition, this Tet, Dong Thap Trade Union also supported the construction of 60 Trade Union Shelters; coordinated the organization of a market bringing "Vietnamese goods to industrial parks - Trade Union Tet Market 2025"; 0 VND booths for union members and workers.
Previously, in Can Tho City, in a series of activities to care for union members and workers during Tet, the city's Trade Union organized a contest to wrap banh tet as gifts for workers in boarding houses. This activity received a lot of response from union members. The teams participating in the contest chose their own ingredients, ensuring food hygiene and safety criteria to wrap and cook 100 banh tet.
Ms. Ly Hong Ngoc - President of the Education Trade Union of Can Tho City - said: "Through the contest, we want to create joy and excitement for union members and employees. Through that, the union organization and union members and employees have moments of connection, eliminating barriers of distance. This sentiment will contribute to improving cultural life and preserving the traditional beauty of the Vietnamese people."
Strive to develop animals
On the basis of gradually building trust with employees, at the end of 2024, the Trade Union of Tay Do Auto Service Trading Joint Stock Company (Can Tho City) was established with 120 members. In the same month, the Trade Union of Lee & Man Vietnam Paper Company Limited (in Hau Giang province) also held an admission ceremony for 60 members.
In the early days of 2025, Dong Thap Trade Union continued to improve the quality of its activities and promote care to attract workers to join the Trade Union. Accordingly, on January 8, the Trade Union of Ecodrone Company Limited (Thap Muoi District) was established with 30 members.
Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Cong Khanh hopes that the Trade Union needs to focus on working with business leaders to continue to mobilize and promote workers to join the Trade Union, contributing to the strong development of the Industrial Park Trade Union and the Provincial Federation of Labor.
"We have divided tasks for affiliated unions and started working right away in the first days and weeks of the year so that union development work can be fully deployed throughout the system," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan, Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.
