In recent days, Thien An has received attention for playing the main role of Thuy Van in the movie "Billionaire Kiss".
The role of the beauty queen is a personality girl who owns a banh mi shop in Da Lat. After an unexpected incident, Van gets caught in a love triangle with two guys - Tu (Ma Ran Do) and Quang (Le Xuan Tien).
After 2 days of release, the film ranked 2nd at the Vietnamese box office, earning nearly 8.5 billion VND, as of the evening of January 30, according to Box Office - an independent box office statistics unit.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Thien An is happy that her new role is well received.
- After “The Billion Dollar Kiss” was officially released, many people expressed surprise at Thien An’s performance. How do you feel?
I was very happy. At first I was worried because I didn't dare to expect much, afraid that many problems would happen during the acting process, but after watching it, I was happy.
At that time, I had to suppress my emotions and ask my fellow artists about my performance. Before I could ask, they said, “An, you did a great job,” which made me very happy and pleased that I had played the role of Thuy Van well.
Now, what I hope is that many audiences come to the cinema to support the movie.
- You admitted that you were worried when starting this project, was it because your role in the movie "Cong Tu Bac Lieu" received many mixed opinions?
Partly I also felt pressure from that, but more importantly because in the movie "Billionaire Kiss", I played the main role, so if my acting was not good, it would affect the movie.
I myself am a rookie in the film industry so I was very worried, even stressed. Now that everything is over, I feel more relieved.
- Thien An thinks the role of Thuy Van has any similarities with herself?
Actually, the role of Thuy Van is 80% similar to me in terms of personality, thinking, appearance and outlook on life. Van is a rational person, straightforward and principled. The difference is that Van's personality is stronger than mine, and there are many decisions I make that are different from Van's.
But thanks to those things, Trang and I created another Thuy Van, so that the audience can look at her and see a Thuy Van living in Da Lat, not knowing how to dress up, only knowing about work and having a great passion for studying abroad in France to make banh mi.

- When watching movies, which scene do you like the most?
For me, the most satisfying scene in the movie is the scene where Van and Kieu (Thu Trang) argue in the house. At that time, Van's psychology reached its peak when she witnessed her sister being blinded in love again and again, to the point that the two sisters had to sell the house.
It was the climax of the two sisters, and I felt happy that I did well in that scene because it was also my heaviest scene in the film.
- Your first leading role has many similarities with Thien An, so after watching the movie, how did your father feel?
My father gave me compliments, and hoped that I would continue this journey, and would devote myself to the art of cinema.
- After 2 movies, and especially the compliments in "Billionaire Kiss", are you confident in pursuing an acting career?
Pursuing an acting career long term is definitely something I will do. If luck smiles on me in this film, it will give me more motivation to pursue my passion.
But whether I succeed or not in this role, I will continue to pursue the film industry because I am very passionate about it.

- What role does Thien An want to play in the future?
I like to play action female roles.
If you watch “The Billionaire Kiss”, you will see me acting in an action scene where gangsters come into my house to demand money. After a while of acting, I thought I was being asked for money by gangsters for real, I panicked and did everything as if I was living in that scene.
So I think if I get to act in an action scene it would be quite suitable.
Or if I have the chance, I wish to play a normal, miserable character with a heavy mentality, or a girl with schizophrenia, going crazy.
Thank you Thien An for taking the time to share.
