The birth of the Bac Ky Red Trade Union - the predecessor of today's Vietnam Trade Union

Hà Anh |

The formation and development of the Bac Ky Red Trade Union is closely linked to the revolutionary activities of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc in the early years of the 20th century.

He joined the British Overseas Trade Union while working in Luan Don in 1914 - 1917; joined the 17 Pari District Mining and Metallurgy Trade Union in 1919. Leadership Nguyen Ai Quoc is the one who laid the theoretical foundation and ideological foundation for the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.

In the work "Duong Kach Nhan", the Instructor: "Organizing the Trade Union is first of all to let workers travel together to have feelings; two is to study each other; three is to improve the way workers live to make their lives better than now; four is to preserve the rights of workers; five is to help the nation, help the world".

In June 1925, the Founder organized the Vietnam Youth Revolutionary Association in Guangzhou - China and directly taught to improve political theory for students.

In the years 1925 - 1928, under the leadership of the Vietnam Youth Revolution, the " Desertion" movement has penetrated widely into factories, workshops, and mines to propagate and mobilize workers to actively participate in the movement. The birth of the first Communist Party Cell (May 3, 1929) and especially the birth of the Communist Party of Indochina (June 1929) are the results of the process of mobilizing and organizing workers, of which comrade Nguyen Duc Canh is one of the founders and plays an important role.

As a member of the Provisional Central Executive Committee, Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh was temporarily assigned by the Central Committee to be in charge of the work of mobilizing workers.

Recognizing the important role of the Trade Union organization and the workers in the struggle against the empire, exploitation, and protection of workers' rights, Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh and his comrades actively organized a campaign for the workers' movement, first of all the Bac Ky workers' movement, to establish the Trade Union organization.

On July 28, 1929, the first Congress of the Red River Trade Union of Bac Ky opened, chaired by comrade Nguyen Duc Canh. The Congress decided to establish the Bac Ky Red Cross Society, through the Charter and organization system of the Society, issue the "Lao Dong" Newspaper and the "Red Society" magazine, and elect the provisional Central Executive Committee headed by Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh.

The event of the establishment of the Bac Ky Red Trade Union is a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese workers' movement and trade unions. From now on, the Vietnamese working class has a large revolutionary organization, operating with principles and purposes, leading the movement...
