On July 15, Mr. Le Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation had sent a document to the trade unions of wards, communes and special zones in the city to guide the implementation of the "Union Meal" program in 2025.
Accordingly, grassroots trade unions at units and enterprises (or member trade unions, trade union groups, and departmental trade unions where there are many union members) in places where mid-shift meals or daily lunch are organized at the workplace for union members and workers); specialized agencies of trade union organizations at all levels (while maintaining trade union organizations because the unit does not receive 100% of the State budget salary); grassroots trade unions at units and enterprises in places where mid-shift meals or daily lunch are not organized at the workplace for union members and workers, if the unit and enterprise leaders agree to coordinate and agree on the location for organizing "Union Meals", will apply this guidance.
The value of the Union Meal = The value of the daily meal + added value from the unions financial resources + added value from other socialized sources (if any).
In which, the value of daily meals is the value of meals according to the regulation or provided by the unit or employer (NSDLD) daily at the workplace; the added value from the trade union's financial resources is a maximum of VND 50,000/meal.
Additional value from other socialized sources mobilized by the union includes: support from professional sources, employers, sponsors or other socialized sources (if any).
The implementation period is from July 20 to September 2, 2025, with the peak focus on the week of the founding day of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2).
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025) and continue the success of the "Union Meal" program in 2024.
