On June 19, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee - Do Huu Huy issued a decision to temporarily hand over administrative staff to commune-level administrative units in Binh Thuan province when implementing the two-level local government. This number of positions is taken from the total current positions of the district and commune levels to ensure that communes, wards and special zones operate stably.
In the list of temporarily assigned administrative positions, La Gi ward has the largest number of positions with 84. The staff in Phu Quy special zone ranked 3rd with 77 positions. In contrast, the mountainous commune of Dong Giang is assigned the least 31 positions.

The wards that receive attention are Phan Thiet ward temporarily assigned 66 positions, Mui Ne ward has 52 positions. Binh Thuan Ward, Phu Thuy Ward and Ham Thang Ward all have 54 positions.
Many coastal communes and mountainous communes are also arranged with enough staff to meet the requirements of administrative management at the grassroots level.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the responsibility to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to proactively arrange civil servants, arrange according to the temporary number of positions assigned and deploy related work to ensure the effective operation of the two-level government before July 1, 2025. After the competent authority officially allocates the payroll, the province will adjust according to regulations.
On June 12, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025. Accordingly, the new Lam Dong province was formed based on the arrangement of the entire natural area and population of Binh Thuan, Dak Nong and Lam Dong provinces. After the merger, Lam Dong province has a natural area of 24,233.07 km2, with a population of more than 3.8 million people.
