On June 19, the People's Committee of Bac Ha district announced the conclusion of the Chairman of the District People's Committee at the second meeting on emulation and reward consideration for 2024-2025 for collectives and individuals in the education sector.
Accordingly, this district transferred to the People's Committees of new communes (expected to operate from July 1) the title of "Advanced Labor Collective" for one school, "Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level" for 5 teachers and the title of "Advanced Worker" for 835 people.
Although they were rewarded, about 300 teachers had their grades of reward reduced, only receiving the title of "Advanced Worker" instead of "Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level" or a certificate of merit as previously proposed by the District Department of Education and Training.
Previously, at the end of May, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ha district submitted a proposal to reward the title of advanced worker, grassroots emulation fighter, certificates of merit, and other emulation flags for nearly 1,390 teachers and 40 schools, the highest of which is the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister.
On June 5, the District Emulation and Reward Council met to review and found that only more than 490 teachers were qualified.
923/1,439 individuals and groups proposed to be rewarded in the 2024-2025 school year are not eligible, with the reason of not participating in social work and charity funds launched by agencies and units.
Therefore, the Emulation and Reward Council of Bac Ha district agreed not to consider rewards or submit to superiors for rewards for 923 teachers and schools.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles "The 900 teachers in Lao Cai failed to give rewards, the district said "due to awareness", "Bac Ha Secretary talked about 900 teachers failed to give rewards for not contributing to charity" and "Sure information in the explanation of schools about 900 teachers failed to give rewards" reflecting the fact that hundreds of teachers in Bac Ha district failed to give rewards for not participating in contributing to the charity fund.
According to the explanation of some schools, the reason for the delay in payment is that they have not received official dispatches to mobilize support for the above funds from the agencies implementing the campaign or due to confusion between some types of funds.
