On 4.2.2025, the Government issued Decree 16/2025/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 72/2020/ND-CP on organizing the construction of forces and policies and policies for with militia and self -defense. This new decree takes effect from March 23, 2025.
Clause 2, Article 8 of Decree 72/2020/ND-CP is amended by Point c, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree 16/2025/ND-CP as follows:
“2. For the village leader: The monthly allowance level is submitted to the provincial People's Committee to submit to the People's Council of the same level but not lower than 1,170,000 VND ”.
Thus, the monthly allowance of the village leader from March 23, 2025 will not be lower than 1,170,000 VND, compared to the previous 745,000 VND. The specific level of how much is submitted to the provincial People's Committee to the People's Council of the same level decision.
