On the afternoon of June 17, in Kon Tum ward, Ms. Y Ngoc - Standing Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to deploy conditions to put into operation 4 inter-level ethnic minority boarding primary and secondary schools in land border communes including: Duc Nong, Mo Rai, Sa Loong and Ro Koi.
According to the Department of Education and Training, conditions on organizational structure, personnel, enrollment and student arrangement are being urgently completed, ensuring that schools will operate from the 2026 - 2027 school year.

Regarding construction progress, the school in Ro Koi commune reached about 79% of the construction volume, Duc Nong reached 73%, Sa Loong reached 67% and Mo Rai reached 48%.
Many important items such as classrooms, dormitories, office buildings, dining rooms, multi-purpose buildings, along with electricity, water and technical infrastructure systems are being accelerated; some electricity and water projects have been completed and are ready to serve operation.
The Western Quang Ngai Construction Investment Project Management Board is urgently implementing the remaining tasks, and at the same time organizing the selection of contractors to purchase teaching equipment.
However, the implementation process still faces difficulties due to the lack of construction personnel in the border area, heavy rainy weather and some problems in site clearance.
Concluding the meeting, Ms. Y Ngoc emphasized that the construction and operation of inter-level ethnic minority boarding schools in border areas is an important task, not only meeting the learning needs of students in difficult areas but also contributing to improving the quality of human resources and consolidating national defense and security in border areas.
Ms. Y Ngoc requested the Department of Education and Training to urgently complete the school establishment project, develop a plan for organizational structure, arrange a suitable team of management staff and teachers; and at the same time accelerate the procurement of equipment, ensuring quality, efficiency and economy.
The investor and construction units focus maximum manpower and resources, take advantage of favorable weather to accelerate progress, ensure project quality, and strive to complete and put into use items according to the plan.
Departments, branches and related localities proactively coordinate to remove difficulties and obstacles, complete technical infrastructure, clear ground and fully prepare necessary conditions, determined to put 4 border schools in phase 1 into effective operation right from the 2026 - 2027 school year.
