On March 10, a working delegation led by Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, came to inspect the construction progress of inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in Ia Pnon and Ia Dom communes.
These are two schools designed with full functions for boarding and semi-boarding students, located within the investment quota for students in seven border communes of Gia Lai province.
Through actual inspection in the two communes, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged the efforts of departments, branches, localities, investors and contractors in focusing on constructing projects to achieve the set schedule.
At the same time, basically agreeing with the overall design of the works, it is proposed that the investor continue to study, adjust, and supplement a number of items to maximize the effectiveness of the works.

In addition to focusing on the main items serving study and accommodation, the works need to be supplemented with items serving cultural, sports, and entertainment activities for students; waste treatment plans; pay attention to allocating land funds to create conditions for officials and teachers to feel secure in their work.
In order to create a green - clean - beautiful learning and living environment for students, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to direct and deploy planting green trees to block wind and dust around the school grounds.
These are schools for children of ethnic minorities and border areas, so special attention should be paid to investing in equipment for extracurricular activities, teaching, preserving traditional culture, especially the gong and chieng cultural space," Mr. Ngoc said.
Regarding the difficulties in the supply and price of construction materials for construction, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Construction to coordinate in resolving and finalizing prices with suppliers, ensuring sufficient construction materials for the project.
According to the report of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project in Ia Pnon commune has a total investment of 233.9 billion VND.
Project items such as teacher dormitory, boarding house, dining hall... ensure boarding and semi-boarding for students. The project in Ia Dom commune has a total investment of 208 billion VND.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, in Gia Lai, 7 border communes including Ia Mo, Ia Puch, Ia Pnon, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia, Ia O will be built with 7 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools with a scale of 212 classes, meeting about 7,420 students.
The project has a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND, divided into 30 bidding packages in the form of short-term contractor appointment.
The key project is implemented according to Notice Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025 of the Government on investment in building schools in border communes.
