Mr. Pham Hong Thang - Senior Department Head, Assembly Shell Department, HD Hyundai Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HVS) started his career as a high school graduate. After a period of effort and encouragement from the company and union, Mr. Thang has risen to become a chief engineer.
“If there were no encouragement to improve my skills, if I were not sent abroad for training by businesses, if I had access to foreign languages and soft skills, my skills would not have met the job requirements and I would have remained a low-level worker,” Thang shared.
According to Mr. Le Van Toan - Chairman of HVS Company's Trade Union, with 3,000 workers working in the shipbuilding sector, improving the qualifications and skills of workers has always been a priority for the union and the company in its development strategy over the years.

In 2024, the technical innovation emulation movement jointly launched by the Trade Union received 3,443 innovations, generating a profit of 30.5 billion VND.
Every year, the Trade Union spends more than 500 million VND to coordinate the organization of training programs to improve workers' skills... To meet the requirements of current industrialization and modernization, HVS also encourages workers to apply and master new technologies...

According to a survey, in Khanh Hoa, there are currently 3 localities with a large concentration of workers: Nha Trang city, Ninh Hoa town and Cam Lam district.
