On June 19, the signing ceremony of the Coordination Program took place in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The coordination program for the period 2026-2030 is signed to strengthen and promote coordination and support for information and propaganda work in scholarship and talent promotion activities, building a learning society to arouse and promote the tradition of studiousness, form self-study habits, and active lifelong learning among workers at enterprises and units, contributing to the good implementation of the "Coordination Program between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education for the period 2024-2030".
Through propaganda work, it contributes to raising awareness of all levels, sectors, among cadres, Party members and people about the importance and significance of the policy of building a learning society, promoting lifelong learning, contributing to the development of human resources, especially high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and international integration.
Promote propaganda activities, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of implementing all guidelines and policies of the Party, policies and laws of the State on encouraging learning, encouraging talent, building a learning society and focusing on developing the "Learning Citizen" and "Learning Unit" models in each agency, unit, enterprise and at Lao Dong Newspaper.
With the Coordination Program, the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education will coordinate with Lao Dong Newspaper on promoting information and propaganda in education promotion, talent promotion, and building a learning society in the 2026-2030 period; in implementing Decision 1268/QD-TTg dated October 19, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Program "Promoting lifelong learning activities among workers at enterprises to 2030"; in implementing the "Coordination Program between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education in the 2024-2030 period".
The Association will promptly inform Lao Dong Newspaper of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws on education promotion, talent promotion, and building a learning society about the work plans in the term, annually, and the tasks of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education.
In addition, the Association will agree with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to award "Learning never together" scholarships to officials, reporters, editors and employees of Lao Dong Newspaper who have excellent achievements in studying, self-study, self-research, and creativity applied to work with high efficiency.
In the coordination program, Lao Dong Newspaper will focus on propaganda on the implementation of Conclusion No. 49-KL/TW, dated May 10, 2019 of the Secretariat; Directive 14/CT-TTg, dated May 25, 2021 of the Prime Minister; Decision 1373/QD-TTg dated July 30, 2021 of the Prime Minister on building a learning society for the period 2021-2030; Program "Promoting lifelong learning in families, clans, communities and units in the period 2021-2030" issued under Decision 387/QD-TTg dated March 25, 2022 and Program "Building a model of learning citizens in the period 2021-2030" issued under Decision 677/QD-TTg dated June 3, 2022.
The newspaper will closely cooperate, promote propaganda, and be a positive bridge in propagating the direction and administration of Party committees and authorities at all levels; the guidance of the Association for Promoting Education at all levels in mobilizing organizations, social forces and Vietnamese citizens to participate in implementing education promotion, talent promotion, and building a learning society; on studying and following the ideology, ethics, style, and lifelong learning example of President Ho Chi Minh.
Propagating the tradition of studiousness, the lifelong learning movement, new factors, typical advanced examples in the models "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Community", "Learning Unit", "Learning Citizen"; encouraging and motivating collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the work of encouraging learning and talent; agencies, businesses, schools, armed forces in building a learning society; in all fields of life and society; organizing, encouraging and supporting everyone to have the opportunity and conditions to study...
Speaking at the program, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education expressed her joy and emotion at the efforts to overcome difficulties to develop of Lao Dong Newspaper. At the same time, she affirmed that Lao Dong Newspaper has truly been the voice of workers, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of workers and is a solid bridge between workers and the Party and State.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan said that for the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, this is not the first time accompanying Lao Dong Newspaper. For many years, the Association has always paid special attention to workers and laborers and has had many seminars and workshops on learning and education promotion among workers.
From the perspective of people working in education promotion, she is particularly happy that Lao Dong Newspaper has successfully implemented the "Digital Education for All" movement at a high level.
With a multilingual electronic newspaper with strong spread on the digital platform as it is today, I think Lao Dong Newspaper is very suitable for the digital literacy movement that the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education has implemented in the system since 2022, after the COVID-19 pandemic, before being launched by the Government as a movement nationwide" - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education said.
According to Standing Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper Nguyen Duc Thanh, one of the meanings of signing the Cooperation Program between Lao Dong Newspaper and the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education is to promote lifelong learning and improve professional qualifications for workers to meet the requirements of the new stage.
