Many practical training and fostering programs for workers
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Vietnam - Singapore Vocational Colleges, Binh Duong University, Thu Dau Mot University also provide many practical training and fostering programs for workers directly at enterprises.
For unemployed workers, the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center said that during the period of receiving unemployment benefits, workers are consulted on jobs and participate in vocational training courses to improve their skills.
In the first quarter of 2026, the Center cooperated with many vocational education institutions, opening more vocational training opportunities for unemployed workers, and increasing labor supply and demand connections. People in need can come to the Center's headquarters for advice and guidance on registering for suitable courses.

Binh Duong Trade Union Technical and Professional Secondary School said that the unit is coordinating with the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union and related units to implement a vocational training program to improve skills for workers.
The school also opened more elementary courses such as industrial sewing machine maintenance, industrial electricity, refrigeration, sewing, welding, machine repair... to diversify vocational skills for workers.
Supporting at least 50% of workers to study to improve their qualifications and professional skills
The first Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, set out 16 annual targets. In which, striving to support at least 50% of workers to study to improve their qualifications and professional skills; 75% to be equipped with life skills and digital skills; 50% to achieve the title "Learning Citizen".
To implement the above target, recently the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2026 - 2030. According to this agreement, the two sides will coordinate to train and foster trade union officials, improve professional qualifications, professional skills and digital capacity for workers.

At the same time, scientific research, innovation and technology transfer serve the practical needs of trade union activities and business development.
Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that through this cooperation program, trade union officials and workers in Ho Chi Minh City will have more opportunities to access training programs, update new skills and improve professional capacity in accordance with the requirements of the digital economy.
In Dong Nai City, the trade union has coordinated with the company to invite experts to the factory to organize professional skills training classes to help workers improve their skills and professional skills; organize long-term and short-term cultural classes for workers.
