On January 31, the People's Police Trade Union (CAND) in coordination with the Trade Union of MobiFone Corporation organized the program "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party, Trade Union Tet Market 2026".
Attending were Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs (X03) - Ministry of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the Trade Union of the People's Police (CAND).
In the past year, the People's Public Security Trade Union has made efforts to innovate and improve the effectiveness of care activities, towards practical benefits for union members and workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses. Trade union levels in the People's Public Security have implemented many programs such as: "Trade Union Shelter", "Trade Union Charity House", "Trade Union Adoption"... creating a connection between union members and workers with trade union organizations and agencies, units, and businesses.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Tien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MobiFone Corporation - said that under the direction of the People's Public Security Trade Union, the creation of conditions by professional leaders, care work has been synchronously, practically, promptly, and targeted by MobiFone Trade Union such as: 100% of trade union members, employees participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; sightseeing, vacation, visiting sick people, giving gifts on Tet holidays, Workers' Month...
At the program, the Trade Union of MobiFone Corporation organized Tet gifts for 97 trade union groups under 19 affiliated grassroots trade unions to express gratitude and encouragement to union members and workers. In addition, the People's Police Trade Union and the Trade Union of MobiFone Corporation presented 160 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from critical illnesses (each gift worth 620,000 VND) with a total value of 99.2 million VND.
Within the framework of the program, many meaningful and exciting activities were organized such as: giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; organizing Tet market booths, Chung cake wrapping contests... creating a joyful, warm, and cohesive atmosphere during Tet and spring.
To continue to promote the results of activities to care for union members and workers, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work (Ministry of Public Security) - requested trade union levels in the People's Public Security Forces to mobilize maximum socialized resources to take care of union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the traditional Tet holiday.
It is necessary to proactively mobilize businesses and individuals to support funding to organize practical support activities such as giving gifts and supporting train and bus tickets for workers away from home to return to their hometowns for Tet. At the same time, it is necessary to closely coordinate with units to organize visits and timely encouragement for union members who stay to work and be on duty, ensuring that all workers have a warm and complete Tet," Major General Ngo Hoai Thu said.
