Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026: Where 200,000 workers shop for Tet using e-voucher
One of the outstanding activities organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to take care of employees and workers during the Lunar New Year 2026 is the "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program with two forms online and in person.
The program aims to bring quality goods and consumer products at preferential prices of domestic enterprises to union members. All products are of guaranteed quality, reasonable prices, domestic origin, distributed, warranted and cared for by customers nationwide.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha said that at the online "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will provide financial support through electronic shopping vouchers (e-voucher) for union members to buy goods and consumer products on the official website (address: https://chotet.congdoan.vn/) or the application on the program's smart device (on iOS or Android).
Expected time to organize the program: From 0:00 on December 20, 2025 to 24:00 on February 3, 2026 (ie from 0:00 on November 1 to 24:00 on December 16, At Ty 2025). 200,000 union members and employees will be supported to participate in the program, with a support level of VND500,000/person, with a total cost of about VND100 billion.

Accordingly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize the "Union Flight - Spring 2026" and plan to allocate 500 one-way air tickets and 500 gifts worth VND300,000/person (cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation to support union members and workers to return home for Tet. Each union member and employee in this group is accompanied by 1 person (husband/wife, father, mother, child). Before the flight, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the provincial and municipal labor federations held a meeting and wished a happy new year to union members and workers before boarding the flight at Tan Son Nhat airport, Ho Chi Minh City.
Along with the "Union Flight - Spring 2026", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also organizes the "Union Train - Spring 2026". The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor allocated 2,000 two-way train tickets and 2,000 gifts worth VND300,000/tael (cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, and Vietnam Railway Trade Union to support union members and workers to return home for Tet. Each union member and employee in this group must be accompanied by no more than 3 people (husband/wife, father, mother, child). The funding to organize the "Union Flight - Spring 2026" and "Union Train - Spring 2026" is taken from the Union's financial resources at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; socialized sources; support from partners signing cooperation agreements with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
"Based on the financial resources of the Trade Union organization and socialized sources, the expected budget for activities to care for members and employees during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 will be equivalent to the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025" - Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha shared.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that in the 2021-2025 period, the Tet care activities of Trade Unions at all levels will be organized practically and effectively, strongly oriented towards the grassroots and workers, thereby affirming the role, position and strengthening the trust of union members and society in the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
In particular, Lunar New Year 2021: Over 6.369 million union members and employees will benefit from the Tet care activities of the Trade Union organization, with a total budget of over VND 6,504 billion.
Lunar New Year 2022: Nearly 9 million union members and employees will benefit, with a total budget of nearly VND 5,669 billion.
Lunar New Year 2023: More than 8,640 million units and employees will benefit, with a total cost of more than VND 6,110 billion.
Lunar New Year 2024: Over 10.5 million union members and employees will benefit, with a total budget of more than VND 7,025 billion.
Lunar New Year 2025: Nearly 11.35 million union members, employees and relatives will benefit, with a total budget of over VND 7,812 billion.
Workers hope for a more fulfilling Tet
Ms. Vu Thi Toan - a worker at Bac Giang LLG Garment Company (Bac Ninh province) - is one of the disadvantaged workers who received gifts for the Lunar New Year 2025.
The female worker is in a very difficult situation. Previously, her husband - Mr. Nguyen Van An was the main breadwinner in the house. In 2008, Mr. An had a work accident and lost his ability to work. From there, the burden of spending in the family mainly depends on Ms. Toan's income.
The small house of the couple was temporarily built on the land left by their parents. In a simple house, the two children are the biggest hope of the whole family. Ms. Toan's eldest child is currently in his first year of university, the youngest child is in high school. "This year, my child is getting older and going to university, which is very expensive. Every month, my wife and I have to send 5-6 million VND/month to cover our children's living expenses. Children go to school at this time and also have to pay a lot of money" - Mr. An shared.
Mr. An - the man who used to be the main breadwinner - is now at home, taking care of the food, water, cleaning, and taking care of his children.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Ms. Toan's family received Tet gifts from leaders of the Party, State, and Trade Union organizations. That is a great encouragement, helping her feel the concern and sharing of the organization with union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Ms. Toan and her husband hope to continue to receive more attention for difficult cases such as her and her husband during the Lunar New Year 2026. This will be the motivation for them to overcome difficulties, rise up in life, and raise their children well.
Ms. Hoang Thi Chung (worker at Crystal Martin Vietnam Co., Ltd.) (Bac Ninh province) is one of the people who received Tet gifts through the "Union Tet Market 2025" Program. She remembers that she ordered necessities, necessities, and candy to prepare for Tet.
