On the afternoon of January 16, Task Force No. 5 for local management, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LDLD) organized a delegation to visit the families of workers who died in labor accidents.

Previously, at noon on January 15, Mr. P.V.B (born in 1993) and a colleague were dredging mud from a manhole in Tan Ngoc neighborhood, Phu My ward. When Mr. P.V.B went down to the manhole to measure the depth, he suddenly encountered an incident and fell. Another colleague came down to rescue him but also fainted, suspected of poison gas poisoning. Although people and functional forces quickly supported him, both workers did not survive.
Mr. P.V.B's family situation is very difficult as he is the main breadwinner in the family, his wife has no stable job, raising a 2-year-old child. The whole family is living in rent, still supporting his wife's grandmother who is over 80 years old; supporting his elderly parents... so life is facing many shortages.
Sharing with the relatives of the victims, the working delegation cordially visited and encouraged the family to soon overcome the pain and stabilize their lives. In case of difficulties and obstacles, the Trade Union will accompany and support workers according to regulations.
On this occasion, the delegation also presented support to the family of Mr. P.V.B with the amount of 10 million VND; Phu My Ward People's Committee supported 5 million VND, Long Dien Commune Fatherland Front Committee supported 1 million VND, contributing to helping the family overcome immediate difficulties.
