The working delegation led by Mr. Pham Nguyen Minh Chau - Vice Chairman of EVNSPC Trade Union, along with representatives of the Executive Committee of EVNSPC Trade Union, visited and worked with workers at the Power Management Teams of Cu Lao Dung, Vinh Vien, Vinh Thanh directly under Can Tho City Power Company (PC Can Tho).
The meeting was organized in a spirit of closeness, openness, focusing on listening and directly exchanging with workers. Mr. Pham Nguyen Minh Chau suggested not reading reports, taking time for workers to frankly share difficulties and obstacles in the working process as well as daily life, especially issues related to working conditions, salary regimes, welfare and social security.
At the meeting, employees of the units boldly expressed their thoughts and aspirations. Representatives of EVNSPC Trade Union fully acknowledged the opinions and recommendations, and affirmed that they would summarize, research and propose appropriate and timely solutions to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.
Mr. Pham Nguyen Minh Chau acknowledged and thanked the efforts of PC Can Tho workers in 2025, especially overcoming difficult working conditions, ensuring safe and stable power grid operation. He expressed his expectation that in 2026, units will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, improve work efficiency; and at the same time focus on safety and health protection for workers to successfully complete the assigned goals and tasks.
On this occasion, EVNSPC Trade Union also propagated and mobilized workers to strictly comply with labor discipline, ensure traffic safety; not participate in social evils, superstition, setting off firecrackers, gambling; uphold the spirit of responsibility, be ready to be on duty, ensure safe and continuous power supply to serve the people during the Lunar New Year.
Responding to the theme "Tet Sum vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party", with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet", EVNSPC Trade Union has directed grassroots Trade Unions to coordinate with professional departments to synchronously deploy many Tet care activities. The focus is on visiting and encouraging electricity operators; organizing Tet gifts for all workers, prioritizing cases in difficult circumstances, suffering from labor accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, affected by natural disasters, storms and floods; workers belonging to policy families, ethnic minorities and cases requiring Tet duty.
In addition, Can Tho PC Trade Union organized "Trade Union Year-end Meal" at departmental Trade Unions with a spending level of 70,000 VND/meal from trade union financial resources; and at the same time implemented the program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026", creating conditions for union members and workers to purchase essential goods at preferential prices.
Sharing at the visit, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Diem - Deputy Head of the General Team cum Head of the Women's Team of Vinh Vien Electricity Management Team said that the timely attention and encouragement of trade union levels is a great source of encouragement, helping workers feel secure in their work and attached to the unit.
