On the afternoon of September 22, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) held a conference to establish the grassroots trade union of Hung Viet Furniture Import-Export Production Trading Company Limited in Hamlet 4, Ba Tri Commune.
Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Trade Union; comrade Vo Thanh Binh - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ba Tri Commune Party Committee; and representatives of the leaders of the Department of Culture, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and the Board of Directors of enterprises.
Hung Viet Furniture Company has been in operation since July 2025, currently has 170 workers. The grassroots union was established with 110 initial union members.
The Executive Committee of the Trade Union consists of 5 comrades, the Inspection Committee of 3 comrades; Comrade Tran Duy Thuong is elected to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thanh Tam hoped that the Executive Committee of the Company's Trade Union would closely coordinate with the business leaders to effectively carry out the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the same time, it is necessary to proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations, promptly resolve arising problems; contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive relationships in enterprises.
