The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance has issued a supplementary report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the implementation of the arrangement and assignment of working headquarters for agencies and units in Ho Chi Minh City.
Notably, in Binh Duong province, there was a Binh Duong Administrative Center building. After Binh Duong merged into Ho Chi Minh City, the building is an asset managed by the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Becamex Corporation has proposed converting Binh Duong Administrative Center (formerly) into Ho Chi Minh City Science Center and Science and Technology Multi-purpose Building. At the same time, recommendations for the use of this building are made according to regulations.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance, the department is coordinating with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Office to study the above proposal of Becamex Corporation on the conversion and use of this building.

It is known that Binh Duong Administrative Center has a total construction investment capital of VND 1,400 billion. Build a 23-storey twin tower (2 basements), with a floor area of over 100,000 m2, a helicopter landing area, a parking lot for 640 cars and a parking lot for 2,000 motorbikes. Binh Duong Administrative Center has been in operation since early 2014.
On July 1, 2025, Binh Duong province merged into Ho Chi Minh City, the building became the Ho Chi Minh City Administrative Center (prise 2). Currently, most departments and branches have moved to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to work, there are still some units of departments and branches maintaining work here.
