In recent years, the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers in An Giang province has always been concerned and directed by Party committees, authorities, and Trade Union organizations at all levels to be widely deployed with many forms of innovation and creativity, suitable to the actual situation. Emulation movements have truly become an important driving force to promote union members and workers (NLĐ) to promote the spirit of responsibility, creative labor, improve productivity, quality, and work efficiency, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
In particular, the implementation of the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" has been creating a strong spread among union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers throughout the province; making an important contribution to the province's achievement of the goal of rapid and sustainable growth in the new period (double-digit growth).
The emulation movement "Good labor, creative labor" has been widely deployed, associated with production and business tasks, administrative reform, digital transformation, technical innovation, improving the quality of service to the people and improving labor productivity in enterprises.

Every year, the movement attracts nearly 100,000 union members and workers to respond and participate with many good models and effective ways of doing things. Among them, the team of direct workers in garment, seafood, processing, and mechanical enterprises is prominent; the team of doctors and medical staff in the health sector; cadres and teachers in the Education sector; cadres, civil servants, and public employees in the administrative and non-business sectors.
Trade union levels have actively mobilized union members to register to implement initiatives, technical improvements, rationalization of production, application of science and technology in labor and management. The program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creative determination to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic" has created a vibrant emulation atmosphere throughout the province. In 2022 alone, An Giang province had nearly 13,000 initiatives updated to the system of the General Confederation, reaching over 129% of the assigned target; the value of profit was over 29.7 billion VND.
To continue to strongly develop the movement both in breadth and depth, in recent years, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation has periodically organized Conferences to commend "Good workers, creative workers" on the occasion of Workers' Month or President Ton Duc Thang's birthday. On average, each year, the Provincial Labor Federation has commended about 50 to 70 typical union members and workers with many initiatives and solutions that are effectively applied in production. Initiatives focus on many fields such as mechanics, civil electricity, technology, construction, production line improvement, material saving, productivity and product quality improvement.
At the same time, many enterprises with a large number of workers have launched emulation campaigns associated with the goal of increasing productivity, improving income and stabilizing jobs for workers. Models "High-performance labor", "Model garment lines", "Safe - efficient production teams", "3 An in enterprises", "Each union member has an initiative"... are effectively implemented at many enterprises in Binh Hoa, Thanh Loc industrial parks and localities in the province.

In particular, in An Giang, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the Ton Duc Thang Award of An Giang province; in 2022 and 2023, the Award was awarded to 18 individuals who are typical trade union officials and union members in various fields. The Award has encouraged and motivated union members and workers to promote the spirit of creativity and dedication, contributing to building an increasingly strong team of workers in An Giang province.
According to the Provincial Labor Federation, through practical implementation, there are still some limitations that need to be overcome. The Provincial Labor Federation also proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continue to have mechanisms and policies to encourage workers to participate in researching initiatives and technical improvements; pay more attention to the direct labor force in enterprises.
Second, it is necessary to develop training programs to foster digital skills and professional skills for workers to meet new development requirements and the trend of digital transformation.
Third, strengthen coordination solutions between trade union organizations and businesses to better care for the material and spiritual life of workers; build a safe and stable working environment, creating motivation for them to feel secure in competing in labor and production.
Fourth, continue to innovate emulation and commendation work in a practical, public, and transparent direction; pay attention to discovering and replicating new models, good practices, and exemplary and creative workers.
