Businesses give Tet bonuses from 1 to 3 months' salary

For the Lunar New Year 2026, the company will pay 3 months' salary, 13, 14, 15, according to the average actual salary received in December 2025. In which, two months' salary, 13 and 14 will be paid in January 2026, and month's salary, 15 will be paid in February 2026. For the first day of work after the Lunar New Year, the company will reward each person present at the time of work 1 million VND.
Mr. Quach Man Nghia - Chairman of the Trade Union of Always Company - said that the company's Tet bonus level, the lowest is 1 month's salary, the highest is 2 months' salary. Thus, the average Tet bonus level is 1.5 months' salary.
Ms. Phan Thi Thien - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Long Cuong Company, said that the company's Tet bonus is 1 month's basic salary for employees. Depending on the time employees work for the company, there are different basic salaries, and the lowest is 5.6 million VND/person and the highest is 15 million VND/person.
Mr. Huynh Van Choi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Viet Hung Joint Stock Company - said that this year's Tet bonus of the company is two months' salary, averaging about 17 million VND/person. In addition, the trade union also has gifts for employees from 300,000 VND to 500,000 VND/person depending on the circumstances.
Lunar New Year 2026 bonus increases compared to 2025

It is noteworthy that the Tet bonus difference between the highest bonus recipient and the lowest average in private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises is very high.
Private enterprises' Tet bonuses averaged 11.43 million VND, the highest was 724.5 million VND and the lowest average was 5.46 million VND (a difference of 132.69 times); Foreign-invested enterprises' Tet bonuses averaged 12.22 million VND, the highest was more than 1.84 billion VND and the lowest average was 5.84 million VND (a difference of more than 315.2 times).
