Support and Encourage Construction Units
In late July 2024, Mr. Lê Hồng Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Board, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Nghệ An Province, and the delegation visited, presented gifts, and encouraged staff, engineers, workers, and laborers working on the construction site of the 500kV transmission line project passing through the province at Ngọc Sơn Commune, Quỳnh Lưu District.
At the construction site at position 460, the leaders of Nghệ An Province inspected the installation of poles and checked the situation of wire pulling at position 453-455 on the territory of Ngọc Sơn Commune, Quỳnh Lưu District, shared the difficulties faced by staff, engineers, workers, and laborers during the construction process, such as working at high altitudes, harsh weather conditions, and unpredictable developments; encouraged construction units to overcome difficulties and complete their tasks.
Since the beginning of the year, many delegations of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Trade Union have visited, presented gifts, and encouraged construction units working on the 500kV transmission line project passing through the province. Earlier, on April 23, the delegation led by Chairman Kha Văn Tám of the Provincial Trade Union visited, inquired, and presented gifts to workers and laborers working on the construction site of the 500kV transmission line project at Ngọc Sơn Commune, Quỳnh Lưu District. At the construction site of the power pole on the territory of Nghi Kiều Commune, Nghi Lộc District, the Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union inquired, encouraged, and shared the difficulties faced by workers and laborers during the construction process, especially the harsh working conditions, and presented gifts to the team of workers at Nghi Kiều Commune and 9 workers directly involved in the work, each receiving a gift worth 500,000 VND.
Resolving Difficulties for Contractors
Recently, Nghệ An Province has continuously directed localities to promptly clear land and hand over it to construction units, supported units in resolving difficulties and addressing emerging issues.
On July 27, immediately after receiving information about the delay in payment between contractors, leading to conflicts, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thái Thanh Quý directly visited the site to direct the handling of the situation. After Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghệ An resolved the emerging issues, contractors and relevant parties reached an agreement, committed to resolving the issues without affecting the project's progress.
The 500kV transmission line project passing through Nghệ An Province has a total length of approximately 100km, with 202 pole foundation positions and 88 wire spans. It includes two component projects: the 500kV Quảng Trạch - Quỳnh Lưu transmission line with a length of approximately 82.33km, 168 pole foundation positions, and the 500kV Quỳnh Lưu - Thanh Hóa transmission line with a length of approximately 17.5km, 34 pole foundation positions. This is a key and urgent project, playing a particularly important role in the national energy security.
According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghệ An Province, by July 31, for the excavation and pole installation work, 202/202 pole foundation positions have been completed. For the pole installation work, 175 pole positions have been completed, and 27 are under construction. For the wire pulling work, the Quảng Trạch - Quỳnh Lưu project is currently pulling wire at 19 wire spans, with 10 wire spans completed. The Quỳnh Lưu - Thanh Hóa project is currently pulling wire at 5 wire spans, with 1 wire span completed.
