On the afternoon of June 25, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held the 10th expanded Executive Committee Conference - 11th term, summarizing the workers' movement and trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, deploying directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, and summarizing activities of the Workers' Month in 2025.
According to the report, in the first 6 months of this year, the Provincial Trade Union has had many practical activities, promptly caring for and protecting the rights of workers. Trade unions at all levels have visited 13,540 union members and employees with an amount of VND 5.984 billion; mutually supported and provided capital to 3,115 employees with an amount of VND 15.202 billion. Trade unions at all levels in the province have mobilized contributions to the "Union Shelter" Fund of more than 830 million VND; the Fund Management Board has considered funding to build 35 Union Shelters with a total amount of 1,940 billion VND.
Tien Giang Trade Union has also developed 7,645 new union members. The Provincial Federation of Labor regularly directs all levels of the Union to do a good job of training and introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission. As a result, in the first 6 months of the year, 736 outstanding union members were introduced and 474 comrades were admitted to the Party.
Based on the actual situation of the workers' movement and trade union activities in 2025, in the last 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels will continue to perform the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees; organize practical activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees; continue to promote social activities.
The Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor said that it will effectively implement the Project to end the activities of the Trade Union at the grassroots level, affiliated grassroots Trade Unions (CDCS), units under the Provincial Federation of Labor and merge the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the State Party; Project to merge Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces into Dong Thap province.
At the conference, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor announced decisions on the dissolution of 14 trade unions at the grassroots level; 9 grassroots trade unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
On this occasion, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor also awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in the special emulation movement "Workers' Month - Month of action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025"; emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" for the period 2021-2025.
The Organizing Committee of the 12th Nguyen Duc Canh Press Award presented awards to professional and non-professional authors and groups of authors.
